They need to win this game. If they lose today they will most likely drop 1 game behind NE in the race for homefield. We have to have them win next week and if they lose today they will be forced to play hard against us no matter what because they will be a game behind in home field. We cannot have them lose to Baltimore, so they need this one.

Why are you afraid to take on the Steelers at full strength? I personally think we would kick their ass. This team has nothing on New England.

I'm not afraid, but if came down to us getting in the playoffs I would prefer they aren't playing for anything. Yeah, I know if we can't beat them full strength we don't belong, but I just want to get in any way possible darnit.

Pittsburgh needs to LOSE this game. They're looking like they're going to lose one pretty soon - I'd rather they lose to the Giants than next week at the Ravens!!

100% right Grant ... if they lose this game there gonna go into next week with FURY and woop up on the Ravens.

Either way, Pitt will have an extra day of rest.

It's a moot point, now, but your logic is majorly flawed. If the Stillers run the table, they get homefield throughout. Their win today guarantees that they'll play hard against the Ravens and (winning that) against the Bills. Had they lost today, they likely would have lost homefield throughout and coasted against the Bills. Assuming NE beats Miami, then they would definitely go all out against the Jest and likely win that game (which helps the Bills). That takes you to the last week of the regular season where NE would be sitting at 14-1 and the Stillers at 13-2. The only way the Stillers get homefield throughout is if they beat the Bills and NE loses to San Francisco @ home. With all that on the line, no way does NE lose to SF...even if it was a road game. Who cares what the Stillers do? The Bills have to take care of their own business. As many have said, if you're afraid to take them on with their best then why hope for the playoffs? You'd get them full strength in the playoffs, anyway. So you see, your heart may have been in the right place but your head certainly was not.
