"Over the past several years, he has helped steer our country out of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, and although there is still much work ahead, his insights and counsel have helped lead us toward an economy that is growing and creating millions of jobs." I think that Mr. Obama is delusional.
IDBillzFan
In fairness, he is correct. The economy is creating millions of jobs. It's also shedding millions of jobs at the same time, but counting them doesn't help this narrative. I heard all his people since Friday's jobs report was released spouting off how they've created millions of jobs, and news people would say "Yes, but isn't there a net loss over the past two-and-a-half years and the WH response is, "But we're headed in the right direction." Yes, the WH position on the May's jobs report is that it's a bump in the road...a blip...an oddity...something they need to look at more closely to understand. Summer of Recovery is right around the corner. Aaaaaaaany moment now.
whateverdude
Unemployment will remain above historic levels for the next 8-10 years when most of the boomers will be retiring, retired or planted in the ground.

It wasn't HIS trillion dollars his pissed into the wind. Living without a budget loads 'o fun. Frankly, I saw this quote run in a lot of MSM news cycles yesterday and was surprised because it's just the kind of thing you never see on ABC News, etc. ANd yet there was that soundbite...over and over again. Interesting.
