Peace
Debt was 10 trillion when your guy and his people took control. 15 trillion now. Explain please. Tell me how its a good thing. Tell me how many more people are employed because of his stimulus plan. Then tell me how great it is to have gas at almost $5 a gallon. Doubled since he took office. Tell what a great job he's doing with the dollar in regards to impending inflation. On second thought, don't tell me anything. Just be quiet and hope someone with a clue takes office in 2012 to bale all you (*^*&%^$^#liberal asses out. I had to replace my tires last month too. And I pulled my hamstring. And Tiger Woods collapsed. And the Bills went 4-12. And Gene got banned. And Sarah Palin is on a bus saying "mainstream media" every 30 seconds like the trained parrot she is. I'm for the buck stopping at the top but blaming Obama for all the national woes (price of gas?) is ridiculous. It is Dante's turn to spin it. Gene's turn will come back around--he's just got to wait his turn. Edited June 4, 2011 by Peace
Nanker
The Johns are out of money, but they've got a full prescription of government funded Viagra and are wondering why the hookers won't take government vouchers for GM bonds as payment in advance for favors to be received in the oh-so-romantic interlude. Go figure.
Dante
Yup. The retard wheel goes round and round. It is Dante's turn to spin it. Gene's turn will come back around--he's just got to wait his turn. Its on his watch. You want to talk about retards how about the genius move of shutting down offshore oil production after the BP spill. That had to help prices. It's also his eco nut job pals that he panders to that won't let us drill on our own soil. I guess I'm retarded enough to think that having more of our oil is a good thing. /dev/null
Problem is that won't lower the cost of fuel True, but it gives America a villain to hate. Just like the Oil Man in the White House that hates black people and is such a devious bastard that he can scheme 9/11 but is also a freakin retard that chokes on pretzels Americans don't want solutions to the problem at hand. Right now, the person they blame doesn't unilaterally decide things- which is why the terms Bush Tax Cuts and Obamacare are complete nonsense. IDBillzFan
Problem is that won't lower the cost of fuel The question really isn't whether opening off shore drilling here will lower the cost of fuel, but rather, did the shutting down of ALL off shore drilling after the BP spill help contribute to the price beginning to rise? What about going to war with Libya? While my understanding is that the US only gets about 2% of its oil from Libya, many countries have a greater dependency from them, so could that help impact the cost globally, no? I don't know the answer to that, but given how you can't fart any more without causing something bad to happen, I think it' safe to assume that both of these could contribute to a higher price, no? The only thing I DO know about shutting down drilling after the BP spill is it made for a ridiculously profitable opportunity for Immelt and GE, especially given that we plan to be, as Obama put it, one of Brazil's best customers. If you even remotely want to see Obama as a one-termer, you better rally the troops early and often because he's got the money now, and 2012 will make 2008 look like pocket change when it's over. Don't kid yourself- the next president will spend more than Obama and his successor will spend more as well. They won't cut back, until America shows some guts....and that won't happen. They won't cut back, until America shows some guts....and that won't happen. I appreciate and understand the defeated attitude, but rest assured something will happen to curb spending. For better or worse, something WILL happen. It's just a question of whether we want to fight it at the pass. I prefer not to wave the white flag simply because I've been convinced nothing will change. I waved the white flag for a long time, just hoping to get by while believing that doing anything was worthless anyway. And now here we are. The difference now is that a large number of people have decided to put away the white flag and fight back. And while it's easy for the lazy dolts to just call them "teabaggers," the reality is, if there were no true tea party movement in the past couple of years, we'd probably have a bipartisan effort to raise the debt ceiling right now with no consequences. Now the entire political conversation is almost exclusively debt, deficit, and spending. We may not even fix this in our lifetime, but I'm done waving the white flag. You'd do well to put yours away, too, and get into the fight.

I'd give equal if not more blame to the "independents" who whimsically shift from side to side based on popularity, sound bites, and speeches. In other words, the people whose knee jerk reactions to the latest news story creates the bump in polls. These are the people that create this antiseptic triangulated bull **** political environment where everyone wants to pass the buck to the next administration so as not to tackle the real problems and risk pissing off the mindless minions. Magox
Ok kiddies, repeat after me: "As much as I dislike Obama, I realize he isnt to blame for the high price of gasoline."´ Now that, that has been said.... Cutting the national debt isnt quite as easy as many retards may believe. You can{t just cut all spending with a hatchet. I know many of you would love see his happen, but the reality is if you do so, then the economy falls even deeper into a hole, and guess what kiddies? The economy slows down even further, possibly into a recession, and then tax revenues sharply fall even further from where they are and the national debt outlook worsens. Its easy for the right to criticize the president and liberals for all our woes, politically speaking, they should, afterall, we saw the liberals do the exact same thing when bush was at the helm, they blamed him for every single thing, so yeah, its politics, thats how things work. But from a practical standpoint, its a delicate issue, cutting spending and at the same time trying to promote economic growth. These two in most cases do not go hand in hand. I guess the point that I am trying to make is that it is a complicated issue and dilemma we face, and it has to be done in a very thoughtful and deliberative process, and not carried out by the ones you love to follow on tv or radio where their simple solution is to cut everything in sight. Yeah, it sounds nice, if you{re a moron, but I mean you do realize these people are NOT economists, they are in fact ENTERTAINERS, and if you believe following the advice of one these yahoos is THE answer to our problems, then it just speaks volumes of who you are. For the record, I am for cutting spending, but mainly should be targetted with our longterm spending issues. Ok this computer here in Peru sucks balls, everything is out of wack on the keyboard. I{m out.
