San Jose Bills Fan Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Former Bills assistant and Mike Leach role model Jerry Glanville (1983, DBs) was recently named Head Coach of the Hartford Colonials of the UFL. His newly-assembled staff includes former Bills Assistants Turk Schonert (2006-08, QBs and OC), Larry Zierlein (2006, O-line), and Tim Krumrie 2003-05, D-Line). http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/06/02/jerry-glanville-thinks-highly-of-his-coaching-staff/ Glanville said about his staff "I'm shocked… we have the best coaching staff in pro football in any league." No word yet on whether Chuck Lester will be joining the staff.

San Jose Bills Fan Posted June 3, 2011 Author Posted June 3, 2011 Glanville is the best. I agree! Wouldn't necessarily want him being the Head Coach of my football team but he adds a lot of color to whatever he's involved in.
JinWPB Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 They drafted Jerrod Johnson QB, I was hoping the Bills would pick him up, I quess they still could after the UFL season.
ICanSleepWhenI'mDead Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 . . . he adds a lot of color to whatever he's involved in. My brother Darryl says when Jerry was little, Jerry's momma had to tie pork chops to his ears so the dog 'ud play with 'im.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted June 11, 2011 Author Posted June 11, 2011 Just read that Marty Schottenheimer is coaching the Virginia Destroyers… another former Bill working in the UFL. I wonder what really happened in the Bills coaching search before they hired Gailey. There were actually some rumors that Schottenheimer had his people approach Ralph and that Ralph was not interested. Of course there were also rumors that Ralph contacted Schottzy and that the Bills owner was rebuked by the coach. Anyways, apparently Schottenheimer is still interested in coaching pro football. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2011/06/marty_schottenheimer_q_and_a_f.html

I know that they worked together before. Supposedly, that was part of the problem...
