Dante
Head of a country thats in economic turmoil. He has golfed 9 weekends in a row. Over 70 weekends since taking office. Two memorial days in a row. If I own a company thats in trouble going down the tubes I'm working weekends to right the ship. Just sayin. He should be fired for a obvious lack of interest. Barack Obama
Let me be clear I spend several hours a day and several days a week inspiring and/or instigating millions of Americans in front of a teleprompter. TOTUS can be quite demanding. Dealing with Soros and Stern isn't exactly a picnic either. So I'd say that I deserve a little "me time" on the links every once in a while. I wouldn't sweat it man, as I pretty sure Dante won't approve of anything you do. You could **** gold, diamond, and rubies and use it to pay off the the national debt. Dante would probably complain. Now, let's talk about about Cap & Trade and the Healthcare bill you useless twit. Edited May 31, 2011 by Booster4324

If he suddenly embraced the Constitution and repealed Obamacare I would start to come around Booster. But you and I know thats not going to happen because he is a leftist useless twit as you say. I like think of him more as a douchebag though. And I think I may have been wrong on him not doing anything well. He seems to know how to recreate pretty nicely. Hell, only retiree's can put up that kind of number of appearances on the golf course. Just out of curiosity I wonder what our guy shoots? Probably cheats on his scorecard anyway. Well, that is the thing, not sure about 2010, but I remember that in 2009 he took less time off than other recent Presidents. So it is a frivolous point IMO, In fact the 2009 stats made Obama look good. The reporter that compiled the stats had a a good point, they are never really "off" anyway. I can only imagine that factor increases as technology becomes more advanced. I could look it up if you want. My point is, there are tons of valid criticisms, IMO stick to those. Let's face it... if you were the CEO of a company you would be golfing and having others below you working weekends to get things in order. This is a "who gives a crap" story. IDBillzFan
Let's face it... if you were the CEO of a company you would be golfing and having others below you working weekends to get things in order. This is a "who gives a crap" story. I happen to believe the golf stories are a lot like the "rapper who likes to promote people who kill cops" story. Inidividually, they mean very little, but collectively they advance a narrative of a man who, simply put, has no common sense. When you don't understand how stupid a POTUS looks playing golf golf on Memorial Day, you deserve to be mocked a bit. Maybe I'm just a crazy right-wing partisan hack, but we went to our local Memorial Day service where the tradition is to lay bricks on the path of a memorial for those local men and women who died in service this past year. We honored three young men who lost their lives in Afghanistan to Operation Enduring Freedom. The families of the deceased were on hand in a very somber event that ended with a Marine reading the names of all those in our area who died in combat, followed by a bell being rung once for each name as local girl scouts brought flowers to any family member who stood after hearing their family name called. Name after name, flower after flower, it felt like it would never end, and was genuinely heartbreaking to realize so much loss. And then you read about POTUS dropping a wreath and running off for his tee-time...yeah, it definitely advances the narrative of a man who has no common sense. But hey...who gives a crap, right? The man deserves a round of golf while most everyone else is spending the day honoring those who died for our country. They all golf at times when you think they shouldn't. I have no problem with them having a little break. I do not expect them to be running 24/7/365 either. Side note" Most people honor those who died for our country in many different ways. They do it on facebook, on twitter, before they have dinner with family and friends, etc., etc. Point is that honor those who fought and died for our country does not have to be a day long event. It can be five minutes in heavy prayer.

The problems you have, and seemingly always have, is that (1) the only way you can justify stupid behavior is to point to other stupid behavior, and (2) the commander in chief of the military -- regardless of what party they are from -- should have enough common sense to take a pass on running off to play golf on Memorial Day. It's that bad form that speaks to the narrative of a clueless leader. Does he have the right to do it? Of course. Does it make him look like an idiot? Absofreakinglutely. No. Does that mean he doesn't respect those who died for our country? No. It only makes him look like an idiot to those who are always looking for something to bash him for. This is just another small thing that on its own is not a major deal. But things start to add up giving a insight to his character or lack thereof. He's showing the same lack of judgement that...say, Bush II showed when clearing brush off his ranch, instead of addressing the country's issues. Yeah, Democrats, remember when that was a huge issue for you? And Republicans, remember when you thought the Democrats were full of **** for making an issue of it? Now all of you, shut the !@#$ up. Except you, LA...you're still free to highlight the hypocrisy of the "But my guy's different!" crowd.
