The way I see it....he did **** that would get anybody fired. Last I checked...sexting from your office, putting hookers on your expense account, trying to pick up interns are all actions that can and usually will get you fired if "the bosses" find out. The fact that it happens doesnt matter, nor make it right.

I dont see a problem with Weiner getting shitcanned for his actions.

lolololol. Well done. [i really hate you]

Explain, big boy.

That's the reason I wanted Clinton kicked out. He did Monica just off the oval office, for god's sake. If he did it up on the third floor (the family space), that would not have been something to kick him out of office for. Lets see some of these idiots try doing someone in their office or even looking at porn on the company system and see how long they last.

Although I do disagree with the political economic perspective from most liberals, I am a bit empathetic with Wieners tragic downfall. He was a liberal stalwart, an intelligent, loud voice that stood up for progressive values, I have to admit, he rarely lost an argument. This is a tremendous blow not just for the wiener family and his constituents who I am sure were proud of their local national hero, but a big blow for progressives throughout the nation.

The way I see it is he had no other choice but to step down. The circus that surrounded was frenetic, the distraction that he caused democrats over the past few weeks got them off the message of ¨Those republicans want to take away your medicare¨, which unsurprisingly appeared to had been gaining traction. Without a doubt, he had lost his aura, which at the end of the day, that is what Anthony wiener was about. Without that allure he had, he was no longer ¨Anthony Wiener¨, which means that he couldnt effectively serve (in the eyes of progressives) congress in the way that he had.

Im a bit mixed about this, In regards to having one less liberal loud mouth, sure Im ok with that, but to have someone who arguably was the top if not one of the top progressive voices tragically lose his political career over his narcissistic behaviour is a bit sad to say the least.

His career was based on lies and leftist ideals. He was a destroyer of individual rights and property. He exposed, pardon the pun, himself for what he was. A douche bag. Absolutely no loss and the more of these guys that go down the better off the country will be. No respect for someone who simultaneously reaps rewards for holding his position and tearing down the country. Good riddance and hope you get herpes on the way out.

Glad Weiner went in a way. I expect our Representatives to avoid our foibles. I love how he is condemned though by the right and yet Vitter gets a pass. One guy is flirting online, the other is ordering up whores while voting on stuff. You partisan hacks on the right are even funnier than the ones on the left.

That's a pretty broad brush you're stroking there. Could you please provide us links to all those those on the right who condemned Weiner after giving Vitter a pass? Was there a statement made by the RNC about Weiner that differs from what they said about Vitter? Did the holy grail of right-wingery, Fox News, give Vitter a pass? I mean, it's not like you're saying "these two or three people" did this but rather that it is done "by the right." So we can probably expect multiple links to support what is otherwise clearly a Dailykos/Huffpost/Alan Colmes third-grade talking point, right?

Right?

Exactly.

Since all of the pix recipients were of age and willing, still fail to see what the big deal. I suspect that when my daughter is old enough, she'll be doing this stuff too. All our kids will. You'd be naive to think otherwise.

That said, he did this crap using work connections and atnwork facilities. You get fired for that. Glad to see someone resign when they are caught.

He didn't resign when he was caught. He resigned when even his own party went public and pretty much forced him to resign. Don't mistake him for being "noble" when at best he was pragmatic.

Old news is less than 4 years ago? Look who is talking about not making sense, you come across as a less articulate LA. Total hack who makes no sense. At least LA is coherent.

Typical liberal idiot. Make a ridiculous claim, and when challenged on the claim, you tell us to prove your claim false. How predictable.

And for what it's worth, all you did was provide a link showing that Vitter was getting re-elected. To support your liberal yapping point, you should now provide a link showing how all those people who voted to re-elect Vitter were busy these past few weeks trashing Weiner.

C'mon. You can do it.

Oh, wait. No you can't. Because you're full of crap and you know it.

But yeah, I'm the hack.

So no answer to how he gets a pass and Weiner doesn't. Thanks for showing what a hack you are. At least you could be articulate like LA. Pity that.

You are a hack, you admit it on a regular basis. I should note that you never used to until I called you out on it. You may be joking, but at least you are coming across as more honest now.

Statements by Vitter and others since you are too lazy to research your team:

Vitter, 46, acknowledged in a statement last Monday that his number was included in the telephone records of an escort service run by Deborah Jeane Palfrey, a woman dubbed by the news media as the "D.C. Madam."

In the statement, Vitter said the incident was "a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible."

"Several years ago, I asked for and received forgiveness from God and from my wife in confession and marriage counseling."

"Did you violate the law?" asked moderator Dennis Woltering of WWL.

Vitter: "Dennis you can look back, you can continue to write stories in the media about it. That's your decision. It's a free country. I looked the voters of Louisiana in the eye. I spoke to them sincerely. I think they heard me and I think they understood me. And now I'm looking forward, I'm not looking back."

Louisiana Senator David Vitter will never resign, it seems. Why resign? He only !@#$ed one of the DC Madam’s whores. Or maybe… maybe there was a history of sleeping with prostitutes? Well, in the video above from Hustler, ex-Lousiana prostitute Wendy Yow Ellis (working name: Wendy Cortez) discusses her history of sleep-ins with Vitter in the late 1990s, when he was a mere state legislator. No titties, though. You’ll have to buy the January Hustler for that.

Among Ellis’ juicier details

* “It was a rule that I could not wear any perfume, body lotions, not even take a shower… because he did not want any scent on him whatsoever. He would always come in, hang his jacket on the door, go into the bathroom and take a shower. He would come out with a towel wrapped around him and sit down on the bed. We’d talk. And then he’d do his business.”

* Vitter has a “very small penis.”

* Vitter is lame and only did missionary.

Dude hired prostitutes, and the outrage by the GOP is nonexistent. In fact, they refuse to even make an issue of it, while someone who is sexting is beyond the pale.

Today’s events stand in stark contrast to the treatment of Senator David Vitter, who admitted in 2007 to being a regular customer of a notorious prostitution service. Immediately following Vitter’s admission, McConnell was asked about Vitter on ABC News and flatly refused to address the issue or offer any criticism of Vitter’s conduct:

ROBERTS: Are you comfortable with him staying in the Republican Caucus?

MCCONNELL: Senator Vitter has addressed the issue that you’re referring to, and I’ll let him speak to that.

ROBERTS: Right. Is this something that you think he can recover from? I mean, does the Republican Party, the Republicans in Congress take a hit because of this?

MCCONNELL: Well, you’ll have to ask Senator Vitter about what he had to say about the episode that I think you’re referring to. He would be the one to address that.

McConnell wasn’t alone. Gannett reported that “few colleagues would go on record” following Vitter’s admission. One who did, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), offered only praise: “David Vitter is one of the most capable guys here. He was fabulous in the immigration debate. I think his constituents will respect that.” When Vitter returned to the Senate a few days later and addressed the GOP caucus, he was warmly received:

Applause could be heard inside the room. Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., who like most members wouldn’t disclose what Vitter said, reported that his comments went over well.

“People were very supportive,” Thune said. “People realize he has worked through this this past week. I think everybody is ready to move forward.”[...]

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, exemplified the forgive-and-forget view voiced by Senate Republicans.

“My attitude is he’s doing everything he can to rectify the mistake he made and should be allowed to do so,” Hatch said. “I’m a great believer in redemption.”

The difference between you and I is that I am no longer blindly supporting a party. You will remain a hack. Just a blind partisan B word who is nothing other than a cheerleader for his team. I moved on from that stage over a decade ago. You are simply stuck in that mode. It really is that simple.

Actually Weiner's resignation will not become official until it is read on the floor of the House.

I wonder if he'll be wearing pants.

I do hope he gets into character, wildly gesticulating, hurling insults and challenges and epitaphs to his political enemies and whips himself into a frenzy of self-indulgent hero worship. He does it better than anyone since Hitler who only copied Mussolini.

What's so funny about it? I made a typo and corrected it. Do you correct your mistakes? Obviously not since you are still a liberal and a douche bag to boot.

Everyone nose that know won makes mistakes on PPP. The rest of us have nothing too correct.
