SouthernMan Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Isn't the NFL Network owned and operated by the the NFL? If so, how is it that current players can affilate or appear on their telecasts during a lockout? Anyone know?
Wagon Circler Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 It wasn't a player, it was Mark Sanchez Actually, I was kind of wondering the same thing myself.
Mr. WEO Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 They aren't locked out of the studio. WHy wouldn't the NFLN invite players to be on TV? They need to fill programming hours. The question is why would the oppressed slave appear on the master's propaganda machine?

SouthernMan Posted May 26, 2011 Author Posted May 26, 2011 Wow, three really good responses. A first for TSW. Still don't know the actual answer to my question, but I liked the humor injected into it.
Scrappy Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Maybe the NFL rescheduling games for Mexico as a neutral site & needed someone that spoke their language ?

Well......... the NFLN is owned by the NFL. There is no reason for them to not have players on. The owners have locked the players out of their team facilities. That fact and the appearance of players on NFLN are not related or mutually exclusive.
