Buftex Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I never particularly cared for Matthew Barnaby's on-ice personality, with the Sabres...maybe a schmuck off the ice as well? http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/nhl/2011-05-14-barnaby_N.htm
C.Biscuit97 Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Too bad. Baranaby was one of my favorite Sabres and was good in the 5 minutes he was allowed to talk hockey on ESPN. I wondered what the full story is.
DrDawkinstein Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Theyve reported that there was no physical contact, which I guess is a good thing. Sounds like he got drunk and broke a bunch of stuff outside someone's house? Not really that far out of the realm of possibilities for a hockey player, especially the type of player he was. Im sure he'll end up paying for damages, apologizing and saying he's going to rehab for alcoholism. You know, the usual...
BillsPride12 Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Matthew Barnaby always reminded me of Happy Gilmore, I guess some things never change
HopsGuy Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 So.... does this put Michelle Beadle back on the market?
Marv's Neighbor Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Geeesh! Amherst is turning ghetto! Amherst? There should be a stipulation that once he's traded, he moves his sorry ass out of WNY! We've already got enough problems.

Wooderson Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 So.... does this put Michelle Beadle back on the market? I call dibs!
zow2 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 And over the PA you hear.....Matthew Barnaby- 2 minutes for acting like a F'in A-hole and 5 minutes for fighting.
KD in CA Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 And over the PA you hear.....Matthew Barnaby- 2 minutes for acting like a F'in A-hole and 5 minutes for fighting. I liked Barnaby for the same reason you'd hate him on another team -- he got under the opponents' skin. And his hat trick on Mothers' Day was pretty cool. But the Hasek stuff, not so much.
Buftex Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 Interesting article from the Buffalo News about Barnaby and concussions...starting to get the feeling that the sports we watch in the future are going to be less and less physcial... http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/sabres-nhl/article431339.ece
billsfan89 Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Never been a big fan of this guy. He was a pretty good player but I thought his analysis was very mediocre.

All it will take now is for one of these guys to murder his semi-celeb spouse for the non-sports media to decide to go into a frenzy over the issue and cause the public to take notice. That's when the real changes will start coming.

Buftex Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 Unless the glove doesnt fit. The article obviously had a Buffalo slant...wondering what they could find out from looking at OJ's brain!
Guffalo Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) The article obviously had a Buffalo slant...wondering what they could find out from looking at OJ's brain! Maybe this? Edited May 25, 2011 by Guffalo
KD in CA Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Unless the glove doesnt fit. That brings up a good point -- how long till the first 'concussion syndrome defense' makes it's debut in a high profile case?
paintmyhouse Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 So.... does this put Michelle Beadle back on the market? Doubt it, unless Colin Cowherd gives her too much crap about it. Beadle has been seen eating and drinking at the Amherst Pizza and Ale with Barnaby, just sitting at the bar there. If she made her way to Buffalo to do that with him she must be in love. Leaving little Bristol to come hang out in Buffalo?
