How many times have you EVER heard of an NFL head coach telling his potential franchise QB to go learn the playbook from a college QB? I can't wait to see what this guy does at the pro level. Luck has the potential to be Peyton Manning 2.0. Obviously not guaranteed but the kid is talented and smart.

What's so special about that? Kaepernick is going to a guy that just did pretty everything he's going to be asked to do. If it wasn't for the lockout, Kaepernick wouldn't even bother going to work with Luck. He'd work with his coaching staff instead. Just another reason for people to keep deep throating Luck. justnzane
Funny thing is that the article mentions that Rob Johnson, yes that RJ, is helping Sanchez is his "Jests West" camp. Does this mean tha the Jets are due for an underperforming QB that chokes big time?

I imagine the sample size of college coaches going pro, and their qb staying in school is probably small to begin with. Couple that with the lockout, and this is pretty unique. But yea.... How many times have you EVER heard of an NFL head coach telling his potential franchise QB to go learn the playbook from a college QB? I think this speaks volumes of how desperate coaches are to get rookies started with preparation. What are Harbaugh's alternatives? Send him to un-signed and uneasy-in-the-saddle Alex Smith? Koufax
Would you like the bills to draft Luck if he's on the board for us? Yeah, but I don't think he falls to #32 unless there is some sort of medical issue like Bowers went through.

To my knowledge it has never happened, nor it that what happened with Luck & Kaepernick during this strange off-season. Harbaugh had nothing to do with it. Kaepernick and Luck are acquainted with each other from the Manning Passing Camp in 2010 and have become friendly and stayed in touch thru texting and phone calls. Given that Kapernick want to compete with Alex Smith for the 49ers starting job but knows nothing of Harbaugh's West Coast offense, he called his buddy Andy Luck, who knows Harbaugh's offense better than anyone. Smart move by a smart kid, but enough with the Andy Luck Worship Society already
