H2o Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 The South Florida South-Sentinel "hears" that the Redskins are the front-runners for Vince Young's services this offseason.Redskins beat writer Rich Tandler has also heard talk of Vince Young in the nation's capital, so the smoke is building here. Due a $4.25 million bonus in addition to his $8.5 million salary, Young is likely to be released rather than traded. The Redskins are one of just two teams with no semblance of a viable starting QB. It's easy to see why V.Y. would be interested in signing on, as it's his quickest path to playing time. http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2011/05/whats-chirping-how-can-miami-dolphins-land-a-qb.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+sports%2FMiamiDolphinsweb That could be an interesting locker room with VY's issues and Shanny's dictator-like tactics.
High Mark Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 I really like VY. I think Shanny is a good coach for him. he needs some direction. We all know he wins games.
truth on hold Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 (edited) Skins need a qb and I think VY is worth taking a flyer on for next to nothing, but his personality and shannies are complete oil and water. I think gailey is much better suited to work with him. Edited May 6, 2011 by Joe_the_6_pack
bigdogtim Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 We have enough problems in Buffalo without a guy like VY. He belongs someplace like Oakland, but NOT here.
reddogblitz Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 too bad, I want him. But him going to the Deadskins is good too. Then he can whoop up on the Cowboy's twice a year!

billsfan89 Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 I think its a good fit. Shanny likes mobile QB's Elway, Plummer, Cutler, and McNabb were all mobile QB's in his time with Denver. McNabb's landing spot will be interesting.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 http://blogs.sun-sen...iamiDolphinsweb That could be an interesting locker room with VY's issues and Shanny's dictator-like tactics. I can see this happening.

NoSaint Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Haynesworth - Shanahan part 2 Or is it young fisher part 2? I haven't decided.
vincec Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Everyone who is disparaging and passing in VY will be sorry a couple of years from now. He has a ton of talent and is a winner. He is just young and needs a mentor. Fisher was not a mentor to him. If he can find the right situation, he is going to be successful.
Dr. Trooth Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Imagine that. A few beat writers sitting in a bar talking with their friends who heard friends of their friends hear a few people talking in another bar in a another city that they're sure they heard some guys in another bar in another city talking in another bar that they heard Vince Young is gonna a be wearing a Redskin jersey this year. Doesn't get more definitive than that. Vince Young is now a Redskin. Mark it down and take it to the bank. Stone cold lock. Ya... imagine Vince Young being coached by the quintessential QB micromanager on the planet... Mike Shanahan. He's gonna straighten out all of Vince's mechanics and flaws... and in the process, magically make him grasp and understand the ultra fine points of playing QB, while turning him into a great leader. Can you say Tom Brady with an arm and great legs? Yes Redskin fans, hope is on the way.
BuffaloBill Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 A recipe for complete disaster. Awesome! Ditto .... The Skins are becoming the laughingstock of the league.
