wwovince Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 About time its over. I guess they are really upset at Red Sox winning it all. Well they will be more upset when they do it again this year but as the #1 seed from AL
Guest MLB Sucks Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 I could have sworn Willis McGahee's picture was at the top of the board, guess I was wrong. Must be Derek Jeter.

daquixers Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Yankees will take it this year. No doubt.
rolly Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 I don't know who will take it this year, but I can tell you who won't. The Yankees nor the Red Sox.
daquixers Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Yankees were 1 DECENT pitcher from winning it last year. Add in a great CY YOUNG candidate and you have an easy WS.
rolly Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Ya one would think an easy WS would be up 3-0 in a series too wouldn't it??
daquixers Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Ya one would think an easy WS would be up 3-0 in a series too wouldn't it?? 163722[/snapback] That actually is exactly my point. We were 2 innings from winning it. If we had Randy, then no way we lost.
rolly Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 True, the yanks were one pitcher away, although their bullpen had some shaky times.
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 I am a purist... Just as lights don't belong at Wrigley, then mound needs to be higher and WILD CARD teams don't deserve respect. My how they cheapened the sport... Thanks Bud for that one! Baseball would be just like hockey if you keep letting teams into "playoffs"... There would always be an upset in the making... Ever wonder why no teams ever came back from 0-3 deficits?... Because historically, it was the two best regular season teams that squared off in October. Geez... Let the Expos in and they might pull off an upset... You play 163 games for a reason... Until the BoSox can get there by being atop the A Division... I will discount them.
wwovince Posted December 17, 2004 Author Posted December 17, 2004 I dont know but i seem to remember the all mighty great closer mariano blowing it for the Chokees and allowing the Sox back into the series not the starting pitching. Granted after we were let back into the series we blew up everybody they threw at us LMAO Maybe RJ can huddle with the steroid twins and become a triplet of steroid freaks lol
BRH Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Looks like the trade isn't going to happen anyway. LMAO
millbank Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Looks like the trade isn't going to happen anyway. wwovince Posted December 17, 2004 Author Posted December 17, 2004 Nope Arizona and LA want more money from the Bankees and Green might not pass a physical and also RJ wants a good extension first. Spend Spankees SPEND LOL

MadBuffaloDisease Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Don't be too happy wwo. The Sox had a magical season, but now they've lost Pedro, might lose Lowe (although if the Yanks DO get RJ I bet they resign him), and Schilling says his recovery is going slowly and he might not be ready for the start of the season.
