SWVABillsFan Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 What was the knock on Sturdivant? Did we think he was too short at ILB? Arizona took him two picks after us. This is the most argued pick yet. Brass, you got a lil' tarnished here.
ndirish1978 Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 What was the knock on Sturdivant? Did we think he was too short at ILB? Arizona took him two picks after us. That's what I was thinking. I was hoping for Sturdivant LAST rd
SWVABillsFan Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Man, it sure is easy to criticize 6th round picks. If the guy was bigger & ran faster, he probably would've been drafted earlier. Where does 6'3, 240 and a 4.68 to 4.74 project as an ILB?
Sisyphean Bills Posted April 30, 2011 Author Posted April 30, 2011 These are the money rounds ... where we get our starters.
NishP Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Only pick I dont like so far. Not fast, plays too upright and cant change directions. Ran a 4.8 40. he ran a 4.7 40 and he is a ILB he doesn't need to be fast most running backs are around 4.5 4.6 with a select few running in the 4.4 and below, he is serviceable and a 6th round pick i like it.
DrDawkinstein Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 These are the money rounds ... where we get our starters. LOL Sad but true... Although I think that ends now
SWVABillsFan Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 so unmotivated high "potential" guys like Maybin our better? No many agreed with that. I still don't. Wonder if Washington will trade him for Orakpo? If Elvis was still alive and a Bills fan he'd have shot the tv when Maybin (or defintely not) was drafted.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Guy reminds me of Teddy Bruski once he steroids out. I like the pick, Solid, smart run tackler.
Nanker Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Scouting Report on Chris White: • Great football IQ with instincts to read and react • A reliable tackler who can also deliver the big hit • Is stout at point of attack and fills versus the run • Does a nice job of working through trash and traffic • Good strength and power, flashing violent hand use • Tough and hard working with leadership abilities • Will probably be limited to a two-down role in pros
MRW Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Bulk up and increase strength, maybe. At a 4.74-40 not sure how much bulk this guy wants to put on. I can only think of 1 qb he will run down, mallet; not to mention rb's pr te's. I knew the Bills FO would come up with a plan to counter the Pats taking Mallet!
SWVABillsFan Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 he ran a 4.7 40 and he is a ILB he doesn't need to be fast most running backs are around 4.5 4.6 with a select few running in the 4.4 and below, he is serviceable and a 6th round pick i like it. Dude, Kudos to you. love to see a vote, like or not; I bet more not.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Where does 6'3, 240 and a 4.68 to 4.74 project as an ILB? I bleieve those were Poz's stats coming out out PSU.
KOKBILLS Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 6'3 240 projects as an outside lb, 4.74 and 17 reps. Dude, you lost your mind on this guy. His best projection is to the Inside of a 3-4...He's not an OLB in the NFL... He's going to struggle Covering in the deep-half as well...But he should provide decent depth and competition at ILB... Scouting Report

Dragonborn10 Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Slow, high motor white guy? sweet White due that can play in the SEC is different than corn fed Big ten boy
KOKBILLS Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 we need someone to play ILB when Poz gets hurt Oh wait...
The Senator Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 I dunno 'bout this one...dude must've really impressed Chan & Budday at the Senior Bowl This is the part of the draft where we usually find some gems, but I really thought this was the time to grab Romeus.
