billnutinphoenix Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 He can pick up the blitz and can catch the ball....Spiller has some competition on 3rd down...
NoSaint Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 The eagles took him off our practice squad.... did he bounce to indy, back to philly and finish the year in new orleans? or something of the sort?
nucci Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 The eagles took him off our practice squad.... and then cut him.
nobody Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 He can pick up the blitz and can catch the ball....Spiller has some competition on 3rd down... The report above says he can't pick up the blitz and catches with his body.
dgrid Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 What happened to the kid who was tearing it up in training camp last year? Can't remember his name. Running back though. Joique Bell
Peter Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 What happened to the kid who was tearing it up in training camp last year? Can't remember his name. Running back though. Joique Bell (spelling?) I liked him too. He bounced around after the Eagles took him off our PS (if I recall correctly).
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Waste of a pick. No matter what, you try and draft starters or guys who could develop into starters. Should have picked best available ot or go with stanzi. I'm glad you're not in our draft room.
Kelly the Dog Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 From what I have read and heard about him, I love this pick as a 5th rounder. Another really tough guy who loves football and is physical. Was a very good gunner. He will almost for sure make the team as the #3 RB and a developmental RB. Everyone raves about this guy, especially his coach, which is a very good sign. I don't expect him to carry the ball this year but he should be a ST beast and a great guy to have on the team. I am really liking this draft a lot, although of course I would have preferred some different players at different times like everyone else. Every single pick now has been a player from the south from a big school who loves to play, changing the culture of this team. Nix and Gailey are the anti-Jauron despite the DB picks. We're going to be much tougher in the next couple years, hopefully starting this year.

I wonder how you think that using a 5th. for a QB back up, position where, by the way, where we have a very durable SOB, is not a waste and using it in a RB than can play even if Fjax and CJ are there is a waste! JinWPB Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 So from what I've read, He played WR for NC the first few games because of team suspensions, then rushed for 700 yrds before breaking his collarbone 3/4 threw the season. Pretty impressive to me.
nobody Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 We needed another RB. Stanzi will not be a starter in the NFL, so quit whining about him. Rds 5-7 are depth/ST picks with a rare player turning into a starter a'la Stevie Johnson. White will see the field and is supposed to be an excellent gunner on ST. If you remember, we were terrible on kickoffs last years so I'm happy with this. Pioli got lucky once with a late round QB pick - let's see if he does it again in KC.

Art in PNS Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 This kid is no dancing bear behind the lines. He makes one cut and goes . With our line that might be his biggest advantage. He moves the chains .
Rob's House Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 This guy seems pretty good. I still would have liked a 3rd running back to be more of a short yardage bruiser. It's a little disconcerting that our heaviest RB is 215 lb.
MRW Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Pioli got lucky once with a late round QB pick - let's see if he does it again in KC. Twice, depending on what you think of Cassell.
emeiler83 Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 i would have love to seen the bills draft a TE either Virgil Green or DJ Williams, Virgil is still there and I think we should trade up and get him.
nobody Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Twice, depending on what you think of Cassell. True about Matt Cassel! How do I forget his current starting QB!
