Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 If I was on some team's practice squad & I had a shot from another team that was thin at my position, and I might actually get to play, I'd be signing that contract quicker than you can say only established players get to choose their team. A rookie should never choose a practice squad over an active roster because he wasn't good enough to make any team's roster at the time that he was waived, otherwise he would have been claimed. This opportunity may be a once in a lifetime thing.
