KD in CA Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 This guy was supposed to be big stuff, but has been stuck on the bench behind Priest Holmes the past two years. He gets his first NFL start on Sunday. I've had him on my fantasy bench for two years (of course, I have a playoff bye this week!). He could do some serious damage.....and we certainly need Denver to LOSE!
Mark VI Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 He's looked very good as the starting RB. If KC wants to trade him, the line of suiters will be 10 times longer than the line for Henry.
MattyT Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Good news for me. Just in time for fantasy playoffs.

But Vermeil did blast his work ethic just 2 months back. He may not be too keen on staying, unless Vermeil walks. Plus salary cap issues figure in.

Plus salary cap issues figure in. Vermeil likely will retire. I think this season has taken a toll on him and he sees rebuilding coming. As for LJ, his cap number is manageable and his work ethic doesn't mean as much if he's producing, and maybe he's improved that now that he's starting?
BuckeyeBill Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Please Larry, please rush for 300 yards like you did at Penn State. The Broncos are known to give up a HUGE rushing performance every once in a while. Please Larry, we would highly appreciate a serving of beaten and cooked up Bronco for Christmas.

scribo Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 The Chiefs-Broncos matchup is the second most important game for Bills fans this weekend. A Denver loss coupled with a Buffalo win would be a big boost to our playoff hopes. Likewise, a Denver win would mean serious trouble. I hope Arrowhead is really rockin'.

IDBillzFan Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 During the KC/TENN game Monday night they showed the footage of Vermeil making the diapers comment, and as far as I'm concerned, Johnson is overreacting. There are clearly better ways of saying he'll need to mature real quickly, but it's not like Parcells called him a "she" or something.
nick in* england Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 LJ was at high school with a buddy of mine that plays on my football team... He's a real class act apparantly, keeps in touch with my buddy now and again... I think he could be a very good NFL back given a chance.
R. Rich Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Go Larry J!!!! I still have hope that he'll be "the one" to break the dreaded curse on Penn State RBs in the pros. We haven't had a good one since Curt Warner. Man, was he good! Injuries robbed him of a potentially great career.
