Marv's Neighbor
Ham today. So, what's the Wine choice to compliment the Ham? Happy Easter too, and yes we went to the "long" Church service last evening.

Happy Easter too, and yes we went to the "long" Church service last evening. Red - Robert Mondidi Private Slection Cabernet Sauvignon White - Chateau Pinot Gris Wife picked them up. 2 buck chuck would have been OK with me. BuffaloBill
A Riesling goes best with ham. The Finger Lakes wineries produce some nice Reislings. Happy Easter to all of you.
Chef Jim
personally I feel whatever you have on hand is the perfect compliment to whatever you eat....I am currently having a chambourcin with my apple jacks... This is true but when you find a wine that matches a dish it can make the meal or that dish special. I had foie gras at a restaurant with a maple syrup sauce. I had brought a pinot noir to the dinner and the combination of the sweet syrup and the berry forward pinot was amazing.

Chef Jim
Roast leg of lamb with zucchini, yellow squash and tomato gratin and savory bread pudding. Served with a Sonoma Zinfandel. It's good to be the Chef.
