Passepartout Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Fitz is good but we are looking into long-term. Fitz also is smart as well, hence the Harvard grad. As also maybe hopefully, Fitz will improve as well. Looking at it from both sides of the fence.
KD in CA Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Geez, didn't realize there were so many Carson Palmer fans out there! I just don't think either Newton or Gabbert are the answer for us in the long term & would rather wait to draft our next franchise QB next year. In the meantime the Fitz can handle our QB duties well. Just have a feeling wherever Palmer ends up, he has a couple really good years left in him, especially getting out of the envionment he's been in with the Bengals. Carson Palmer might help a solid, veteran team that just needs a QB but he is not going to resurrect a bad team at this stage of his career. He'd be better off as the backup with a team like the Jets or Ravens that have young QBs that are shaky. I don't think anyone in the draft class is the answer either, but just because you don't 'want to wait' isn't a very good reason to make a bad decision.
