DrDawkinstein
Heard about that. Very sad. Matched my sister's donation. What is this hardcore stuff? Terror Lead Vocalist, Scott Vogel is actually from Buffalo/WNY. Terror, the band is based out of LA. Chef Jim
I used to listen to this type of stuff many years ago. Funny how it hasn't changed at all in 20 years. It all still sounds the same.

Was it called hardcore then? I know I've heard this stuff before, where the "singer" just screams over guitars, but I don't know what it was called. Chef Jim
He's been pretty critical of the Buffalo area since his departure. Most of us have. Was it called hardcore then? I know I've heard this stuff before, where the "singer" just screams over guitars, but I don't know what it was called. Speed metal, thrash metal, death metal. DrDawkinstein
Speed metal, thrash metal, death metal. All different than "Hardcore". Maybe not to the outside listener. But fans can tell you the difference pretty easily when listening to different songs/bands. Also they are all very different in their lyrical message and what the bands stand for. As well as the general style of their fans... Hardcore kids at a show from a while back: http://i56.tinypic.com/wb9pck.jpg Black Metal fan: http://goodjobbb.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/6a00d834527ec969e200e5523608128834-800wi.jpg But I completely understand why it does all sound the "same" to outsiders. Its all loud and fast with a lot of screaming. Edited April 19, 2011 by DrDankenstein
