I pray that this isn't something that we experience. Experience again...since we lost the Braves already. The irony here is Sacramento took the Kings from Kansas City, who took them from Cincinnati, who took them from Rochester. Does anyone still think the NHL is wrong to fight franchise relocations? Mr. WEO Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Scenes-from-what-might-be-the-final-Sacramento-K?urn=nba-wp1345 i highly recommend everyone watch this video, read the article and take a peek at the pictures of the last game the city of Sacramento had with the Kings. I pray that this isn't something that we experience. Sacramento is the 25th largest metropolis in the US. It is a bigger market than that of 9 other NBA teams. If the team was any good and had decent attendance, they would likely stay (a new stadium would help). The move to Anaheim is far from a done deal at this time, by the way.
bisonbrigade Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 IF BILLS LEAVE BUFFALO I WILL NEVER WATCH THE NFL AGAIN!
John from Riverside Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 It was my pleasure to watch the lakers how the Kings over the years......BUT I did feel badly for their fans watching that last game.

billsfaninvgs Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) I am shocked that the Maloofs are moving the Kings. I am even more shocked they are moving them to Anaheim. There will be 3 NBA teams 30 miles apart. That seems insane to me. For those that don't know the Kings are owned by the same brothers who own The Palms hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Although I don't believe in teams moving from viable locations, it seems they would move them to Vegas. Vegas is trying to build a new arena. There are three possible projects. Two with real teeth. It seems that if they wanted out of Sacramento they would back one of those projects. Edited April 15, 2011 by billsfaninvgs

billsfaninvgs Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Not true.... The Maloofs own the Palms and the Kings. You can't place bets on the Kings at the Palms. There are ways around the sports book. Plus we have UNLV and you can bet on those games. The NHL, NBA and MLB have said if they would build a modern arena/stadium they would be interested in putting a team here. Thomas and Mack center seats 18,500 for basketball the only problem is that the luxury boxes are too small and out dated.
It's in My Blood Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 What if a privately owned business decides to move to another city because they feel they could make more money or that new city has better demographics? Its kinda different when Louies Pizza moves as opposed to a sport franchise that generates thousands of jobs and tax revenue , and to a lesser extent , entertainment and emotional value.

I'm much more emotionally attached to Louies Pizza than to a sports franchise. Trust me.
