San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Agreed, what the hell is so sad about. So the kid does not like to play football. Big deal. He cash in & now he wants to enjoy life. I applaud him for it actually. If he is smart he will never have to work another day in his life at the ripe old age of 25. JaMarcus Russell has a serious codeine addiction. In addition, he is losing the $3 million mansion he purchased even before signing his first contract. He is in arrears $195,000. I doubt he's enjoying life and I think the likelihood of living a happy, healthy, and meaningful life is pretty remote. Maybe if Russell's life coach could hang in there a bit, he could teach him how to become rich & retire early. Oh wait.... I know one thing, if I had a cool 31 mil & someone wanted to be my life coach, I would tell him to kiss off. Furthermore, it appears the life coach is a quitter. I think the life coach needs a life coach. You need to know more about Russell's life coach, John Lucas. Lucas was an All-American basketball and tennis player at Maryland. During his NBA career he suffered from cocaine and alcohol addiction. He successfully stopped using all substances and dedicated his life to helping at-risk athletes. He is a person of high character and he is not a quitter. When John Lucas severs a relationship like this, you know that Lucas knows that there is nothing he can do to help Russell…except to walk away from the relationship. Backpedal? The best Pro Day I ever saw as a quarterback was JaMarcus Russell. . . . I've never seen a quarterback throw the football like that in my life, but I still couldn't take him in the first round — the guy doesn't care about football. He doesn't have the passion for the game, doesn't have the work ethic, I don't want him. But by the way, it was a pretty impressive Pro Day. Don't count on WEO to give a fair and balanced account of anything. He is the master of provocative half-truths.
DC Tom Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 John Lucas tired of trying to get JM to give a crap. I hope this puts the final nail into the JaWalrus career coffin. But hey, hopefully he saved some of his signing bonus and is happy coasting through life. His gravestone should have Todd McShay's draft report on him. PTR On the one hand, how good a motivational coach is your motivational coach if he quits on you? On the other hand...there's something pretty powerfully special about being such a lazy, good-for-nothing slob that you demotivate your motivational coach.
PromoTheRobot Posted April 16, 2011 Author Posted April 16, 2011 (edited) The experts fawn over JaMarcus. I forgot the big choice that year was between Russel and Brady friggin' Quinn! What a banner year for QBs!! I guess Gil Brandt was right. Brady Quinn did have a better pro career than JaMarcus Russell. Who can forget the . No, Brady. You aren't busy on Sundays! You numbnuts--Beerball is pointing out that MAYOCK was backpedalling on his Russell pick he gave 3 years later. I provided a link containing his exact quote before the '07 draft. I welcome criticism (and I welcome often, haha!), but you can't bring this lazy shat. Pathetic.

And c'mon...Don't you know WEO is always right? He's a perfect human being...even when he kicks his dog the dang critter deserves it!

As we say in my business: "sometimes wrong, never in doubt". SJB was taking a shot and it misfired because he was sloppy.
