stevewin Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Pretty frank comments about the move to safety: - After missing 2 mos how good did it feel to play Exciting, long overdue - happy about getting on field after cheerleading - How strange to play safety Tremendous challenge. They asked starting after week one - they said it was best for the team - had been going back and forth. - Reaction to playing safety Initial reaction was not my problem - you have to find another safety ( ) - initially there wasn't plans to move to safety until 2006 - reevaluated - realized it was best for the team - didn't want to be selfish - What kept team together after tough start Character of the guys - scoring points on offense - believing in MMs system - After 0-4 things could have gone either way It was hard - group of guys who never had a winning season - believe winning is learned behavior, comes from success - hard as a group to learn from new head coach with a new system - Sunday's defense - ever been part of a more dominating effort Not on one particular day - had been part of defenses that were trying to dominate all the time to get to the postseason - Bills have a shot for postseason? Can't think about post season - we are 7-6, need to worry about what's ahead of us, Cinn. Not good enought to think ahead - Just think if you were in NFC - some people would be picking you for SB (laughter) Tough in AFC - 7-6 doesn't cut it - Getting turnovers - what is difference? - Guys up front - was asked when he came to the Bills what was diff in Phil - emphasize DBs catching, guys up front getting to QB and getting pressure - How look back now on Phil Left on great terms - it was time to move on - constant contact w/ 1/2 roster >lost signal for a couple minnutes< When signal came back he was talking about responsibility to bring out best in people you touch, responsibility as professional athlete, father husband to give back Rome gave the Bills some love after the interview - said it was a real testament to character of guys and coach to come back the way they have. Mentioned how defense is now being compared to best Bills ever - and they've had some great ones. After the break emails and more comments from Rome about what a class act TV is and what a great guy to have in the locker room.

scribo Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Thanks. Good read. Nice to see TV is so level headed.

Thanks Steve.

When asked about the media comparing their recent conference losses to the Bills SB, he becomes quite angry. LOL, as if! We made it to the big dance, they haven't. You can't win any championships if you're home watching the game. A point lost on this poor Iggles soul.
