Another brilliant hypothesis Gene is probably going to be removed for repeatedly registering under multiple handles in an effort to circumvent his well-deserved vacation. The others showed enough character to accept their fates and don't seem to be in any danger of removal, do they? Then to be consistent, every thread on TSW that deals with WNY economy in supporting the Bills, taxpayer funding for RWS, Ralph Wilson being cheap, Ralph Wilson's estate tax dilemma, and Bills not paying their coaches' 401k plans has no business on the football site. He was a bit unremarkable, didn't naturally command respect, and had a generally unhealthy self-image, but for reasons I'll not detail here, he was promoted to assistant manager. Now, power tripping over becoming the assistant manager at a pizza store is like getting off on being named lead custodian for the morning shift at an elementary school, or being named moderator of a message board dedicated to a football team whose fans are stoked about coming off a 4-12 season, but for James it was his first taste of authoriti* and he relished it. The interesting thing to me was that the mutual resentment of James gave people who normally couldn't agree or get along, a common bond, because even if they couldn't agree on how the store should be run, they could all agree that James was a dick. A more self-aware man may have seen the folly of his ways and realized that he was acting like an insecure jerk-off, but a wise man James was not. He was the kind of guy who would in one breath tell you the importance of understanding the impact food cost has on the bottom line and then insist no one discuss matters of profit and loss. And if anyone dared attempt to explain to James that which he did not understand he would get his back up and throw a temper tantrum. He might even send you home or take you off the schedule for a week. One day I heard on the radio that James had been arrested for possession of child pornography. True story BTW. And when I looked at the sex offender registry to see if he was listed, I found another assistant I'd worked with at another pizza store. He did a year in Chino for exposing himself to an 8 yr old**. The moral of the story is, that in my limited anecdotal experience working in pizza stores, assistant managers have a disproportionaly high occurrence of sexual deviance. Oh, and that people who get off on having a sliver of authriti* should shampoo my crotch. * The spelling of authoriti was not happenstance. ** It was actually Chesterfield County Jail, and the minor was 13-15, but the movie quotes thread got me on this kick. I think I was banned for posting a response deemed political replying to a post on page 1 of a thread because I hadn't read a warning on page 6 of the "Rashard Mendenhall thinks Osama was a cool dude" thread to keep politics out but I was probably just banned just because. I usually read all the posts in the thread before responding but I was a little busy that day because code name Ennifer was trying to track down Sage and I had to get him hid again. The only reason I haven't posted in the "Last post wins" thread is that I still haven't read everything in it yet. Can someone summarize it for me? It keeps geting ahead of me. I really want in. But instead of the messiah returning to earth and taking people to heaven, simon has decided to come out of wherever and rapture people away from the board. From a scientific standpoint, neither situation makes logical sense, but i'm at least sure Jesus won't be on a power trip if He comes back.
