This is so Bills.

Maybe Carter is a stud among studs, but this team loves to take guys that need a little something or take a little time.

  •
  • "He was a college DE but we see him at LB."
  • "He was a tackle but we're moving him to guard."
  • "If he gains weight he can play NT."
  • "If he loses weight he can play TE."
  • "He played against small colleges so he'll have to step up his game."
  • "His footwork needs work."
  • "He needs time in the weightroom."

Can't we find guys in the 2nd and 3rd rounds who can already play?

Let's crawl before we try to run. I'd be happy if they could draft a guy in the first round who could already play!!

I don't understand who you are referring to specifically (Carter?). Can you please elaborate a little bit? Also, can you provide some more examples of how the Bills take players who need additional work before they can become starters? I know that Maybin is a glaring example of this, but isn't it the exception to the rule that a player is drafted and is immediately ready to step in and be the starter at their respective position? Look at the 1st round from last year, and tell me how many of those players started in week one. Then, look at the 2nd and 3rd round players and tell me which ones were immediate starters.

This thread makes no sense
