That goes without saying. But let me rephrase the question: "what self-serving !@#$iness drives you more crazy?"

Mostly their bull **** idea that they're "essential government employees" and the world ends without them, thus they deserve to get paid while !@#$ing over everyone else.

Note that these "essential government employees" take off three months a year without the world ending. <_<

Man sometimes you are reaaaal slow.

It's quite obvious to anyone who has the capacity to rationalize that the Planned Parenthood deal was a bargaining chip that they knew that they would never get, so at the end they "conceded" that demand in order to get the cuts they hoped for. There is no doubt about it, Boehner was the big political winner out of this deal, he corraled his caucus and got the left to give up more than what they had hoped for.

The sides were basically at agreement for days and the only thing still on the table was the block grants affecting PP and the EPA stuff.

If you don't think the elected right is going to push social policy (marriage, abortion) in the next year, you're higher than you are. Hopefully it will fail and they can focus on cutting spending.

That would involve politicians backing up campaign promises.

Only the one's who run off of the social issues will push for it, which is about 1/3 of the caucus (Mike Pence comes to mind) the majority are concerned with fiscal issues, the proof is in the puddin, approximately 80% of the GOP voted for this last deal and they didn't get any of the social policies that the minority had hoped for.

End results is what counts in my book the rest is just posturing and noise. ;)

What I can't stand most if these !@#$s get to take millions from special interest in order to essentially buy their votes, we pay their salaries, and they get benefits afterwards.
