Jim in Anchorage Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Three weeks after earthquake! Pretty amazing. I fell in love instantly with that dog. I would adopt it in a microsecond.
Nanker Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 GREAT story. Very handsome dog. I agree with Jim. Thanks LanaK
ajzepp Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Seems like I've heard a few stories like this in Japan...dogs are awesome!
Kevin Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Seems like I've heard a few stories like this in Japan...dogs are awesome! You know...That dog looked awfully healthy for being at sea for 3 weeks. I wonder how he survived so long without food? The report said that they couldn't find the dogs owners.......
GoodBye Posted April 2, 2011 Author Posted April 2, 2011 You know...That dog looked awfully healthy for being at sea for 3 weeks. I wonder how he survived so long without food? The report said that they couldn't find the dogs owners....... I was wondering the same thing when I saw that. Maybe he learned how to fish!

The report said that they couldn't find the dogs owners....... My guess is that since Japanese are alot like Americans, the dog had plenty of body fat stored up from being well fed and spoiled
KD in CA Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 You know...That dog looked awfully healthy for being at sea for 3 weeks. I wonder how he survived so long without food? The report said that they couldn't find the dogs owners....... Looked like he had a pretty good sized island there! There must have been some food left in the kitchen.
Britbillsfan Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Reunited with owners. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-12960965

Clippers of Nfl Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I honestly just teared up with happiness from this thread without even clicking the link yet. What a great pup! i almost did too. i think if i would have continued watching over and over. then meditated on how much i love dogs and my own bill, then maybe i would have shed some tears. Three weeks after earthquake! Pretty amazing. im wondering what kind of doggie is it?
/dev/null Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I like dogs more then I like people. People suck. +1
DrDawkinstein Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I like dogs more then I like people. People suck. +100000000...
Cugalabanza Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I like dogs more then I like people. People suck. Yup! As far as I can tell, the only redeeming quality in people is their ability to recognize the greatness of dogs.
shrader Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I clicked on this thinking it was going to be the most tasteless thread I've ever seen. Thank god it wasn't.
dayman Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 The real question is how did this dog not get thirsty, drink seawater, and dehydrate?
