There are certain posters on this board that are eerily missing from this thread. Why is that?

They are tired of losing 97-0?

Is asking 'where have all the jobs gone' a stupid question? Surely I'll hear: 'the unions have driven up the cost of doing business in the US'. Are the companies moving their manufacturing outside of the US not partly to blame? Are the laws that allow them to easily do so not equally responsible?

 

Where are the private sector jobs? Ducking for cover now... :ph34r:

Maybe if they would quit contracting out a lot of the work to civilian bureaucrats and let the military run the show, we wouldn't have to shell out billions to prop up worthless GS workers and others who make a living sitting at a desk asking others what the right answers are.

So, you would propose laws that would make it more difficult for a private enterprise to move its manufacturing wherever it best suits them? Wouldn't it be much better for the government to make changes in its tax structure and regulations so that companies want to be here? How about making it so foreign companies want to locate here?
