NewEra Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Geez, the NE Patriots Draft, whatever that is, has us taking Tyron Smith. I think he's a good player, but they think we're knuckleheads don't they?

I think he's a good player, but they think we're knuckleheads don't they? Yeah, and before that they had us taking AJ Green, I think. What does NGU say? Von Miller still? Dareus.
Bangarang Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Heards Football report Nate Solder OT How incredibly......I wanna say stupid but that's being too nice.
....lybob Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Geez, the NE Patriots Draft, whatever that is, has us taking Tyron Smith. I think he's a good player, but they think we're knuckleheads don't they? Tyron Smith is a bit of a reach but he did have a very good pro day- USC OT Tyron Smith proved his health at the Trojans' Pro Day Wednesday, running a forty in the 4.91-4.92 range roughly three months after undergoing postseason arthroscopic surgery on his His ten-yard split was in the low-1.7s. Smith also weighed in at a robust 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds after playing last season well below 300. He did 31 reps of 225 pounds on the bench. The Morris Trophy winner as the Pac 10's top offensive lineman in 2010, Smith is being projected as high as the No. 9 overall pick in April's draft. He has the longest arms (36 3/8) of any draft-eligible lineman, making his bench total that much more impressive.
Astrobot Posted April 3, 2011 Author Posted April 3, 2011 1-Von Miller, LB Texas Tech 1- Jimmy Smith, CB – Colorado 2-trade to Green Bay for the #32 pick 3- James Carpenter, OT – Alabama 4-Colin McCarthy, LB – Miami 4-trade to Green Bay for the #32 pick 5-Jerrell Powe, DT – Mississippi 6-Virgil Green, TE – Nevada They hadn't done Round 7 yet, but I would give this draft a C+/B-. Why not sign Drayton Florence, keep your 2nd and 4th rounder, and snare Akeem Ayers, OLB at RD2 and have Miller/Ayers for 10 years? Then take local player Greg Romeus, DE in RD4?
Astrobot Posted April 3, 2011 Author Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) Me no likey Although Jimmy Smith remains one of the finest ever to play the Hammond B3 organ. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMbHPHtQhCg&feature=related Edited April 3, 2011 by Astrobot
Bangarang Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I don't see Powe being there in the 5th round. It's pretty meh imo.
Astrobot Posted April 3, 2011 Author Posted April 3, 2011 I don't see Powe being there in the 5th round. It's pretty meh imo. I agree. We have him going to SF at #76 in RD3. He's actually a selection in my Mock Game for RD3 right now.
Ramius Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 1-Von Miller, LB Texas Tech 1- Jimmy Smith, CB – Colorado 2-trade to Green Bay for the #32 pick 3- James Carpenter, OT – Alabama 4-Colin McCarthy, LB – Miami 4-trade to Green Bay for the #32 pick 5-Jerrell Powe, DT – Mississippi 6-Virgil Green, TE – Nevada They hadn't done Round 7 yet, but I would give this draft a C+/B-. Florence wants out of Buffalo. At season's end he said he was excited about being a FA and being able to test the market.
NewEra Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) Tyron Smith is a bit of a reach but he did have a very good pro day- I agree, he's definitely good. If we traded down to 14-25 range, I'd be happy with him Edited April 3, 2011 by NewEra
Astrobot Posted April 3, 2011 Author Posted April 3, 2011 Gailey and his coaches coached the South team, so they saw these players running his base offense and efense. This was the best I could do: 1-Von Miller OLB 2-Christian Ponder QB (close 2nd: Kelvin Sheppard) 3-Colin McCarthy ILB 4-DeMarcus Van Dyke CB 4-Pernell McPhee DE 5-Josh Bynes ILB 6-DeMarcus Love OG/OT 7-Derrick Locke RB 7-Kristofer O'Dowd OC South Roster
billnutinphoenix Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I think I would keep our picks....too many needs...

No thanks besides McCarthy and Powe.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 1. Gabbert 1. Solder 3. Sam Acho or Luke stocker Why the heck would we move up two spots and loose another pick? draftlab guys must be bored, if we traded our second and fourth we need to get into the early twenties.
