While financially, the colleges may come out way ahead, these guys have the chance to set themselves up for good life, either thru athletics or thru an education. The college players still get a pretty darned good deal, one that my 5.8 speed in the 40 didn't get me. DING DING DING!!! And we have a winner. I had to pay off college loans for my education. If getting a free ride to an excellent college and hopefully having a shot at the NFL if you can showcase your talent isn't good enough for you and you feel the need to get paid while in college, you can go work part time at McDonald's and you don't have to play football. Yup....the NCAA awards championships in about 40 non-revenue generating sports. I don't believe most schools make any profit at all in the athletic dept. It is IMO one ridiculous look and clearly shows a lack of character. It also shows Dez Bryant is a punk and will always be a punk. I bet he gets suspended for something within the next twelve months provided there is a season. For those who think that the gold teeth look favored by many blacks is also a punk trait, that is not true. Many blacks lack quality health care and receive very little dental care. Gold teeth are used to prevent air from getting into the cavities. If you ever had a cavity, you know how painful that is. It is a quick and low cost fix for a real problem. Are you kidding me? Gold is about $1,500.00/ounce. Silver is under $40.00/ounce. In modern times, silver has always been the metal of choice for dental work. Gold teeth are purely a fashion statement, and one meant to imply wealth at the same time. And by the way, you don't fill a cavity by installing a gold tooth or gold caps or gold covers.
