Mr. WEO Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I disagree with this part. If you sleep with your underage neighbor, you are likely going to know that she is underage. Hence an admission of guilt should follow. If you do not know the age of your neighbor, chances are you know if she still attends high school, which should be a big "jailbait" sign. That said, KD is right that the underage prostitute is less likely to be seen as the victim, as most johns probably do not card a hooker and the fact that the pimp probably is one more at fault in this situation. I was agreeing with KD (and you) that the analogy made by Jerry Jabber was way off for the reasons that you both have pointed out.

Mark Long Beach Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I guess I'm more in the minority here. I think the sentence was too harsh. 6 years probation is longer than I feel he should have received. The girl was underage I agree, but how's he going to card her? I've seen plenty of 16 year olds look much older than they are. She was a professional hooker who showed up at his hotel room to perform services. The pimp on the other hand SHOULD receive jail time. HE was the abuser in this case. LTs crime is that of soliciting a prostitute which is a minor offense. That and being very unlucky to both be caught and have the girl be under 18. This ain't the sicko kiddie porn. She's a biological adult. (but still too young to be involved with this and was still being abused)
