Norfan
First mock draft attempt, couldn't wait any longer . Probably a little optimistic for most pics, maybe 1/2 - 1 round lower than they might go. But not completely far fetched, depending on which underclassmen end up entering, the combine, etc. Anyway here goes: (Am assuming Henry gets traded, and staying with the optimistic state of mind hoping for a 2nd rounder for him) 2) CB Corey Webster, LSU. A star as a junior, his stats and production slipped a little this year. Size and ability will probably make him go higher than our first pick, but he might be there at the top half of the 2nd round. CB may not be the biggest need, but if Vincent turn FS full time, our corner back depth for nickle and dime is Thomas and Greer, then nobody. Could go S as well, but assuming Milloy and Vincent will last a couple of more years or so at the top level (same goes for Adams and Williams i guess), a very good 3rd CB is more important than a back-up S in trying to win now. 2) C/G Vince Carter, Oklahoma 3) C/G Ben Wilkerson, LSU Both Wilkerson and Carter were Cs through college, but looking at the inside OL listed as of now i would rather have both these guys, than one of them + a G. Shouldn't be impossible to make one or both if needed into Gs, and would give us some quality inside help, and some competition for the starting LG spot. 4) K Nugent, Ohio State Will maybe go 3rd round as Keading last year, but as stated at the top, this is somewhat optimistic mock draft. 5) RB A. Davis, Wisconsin Durability and size issues which keeps him from going higher, but very good production and speed. Quality back up competition material. 6-7) Best athlete. CajunBillsBacker
I'd throw a party if we had that draft, and not just because there are two of LSU's top players. Webster's stats slipped basically because teams didn't throw at him all that much during this season. Wilkerson is gonna be a special player. He's dominating, and he's not soft. He'll get in anyone's face. Carter is a solid pick Nugent would be a steal in the 4th
