Alaska Darin
Couldn't find much on Banta. 160353 I wonder if he's related to the guy in New England. You know, as in "Damn it JP, I can't believe you just got picked off by a hyphen!"
Boatdrinks
Couldn't find much on Banta. 160353 Don't know much about him. I remember the name from his years with the Colts when they were in the East. I know he was on that vaunted USC squad with Boseli, Curtis conway, Keyshawn and .... ROb JOhnson. Pickings are slim at this point in the season. There are alot of teams facing injuries and each is drawing from the same pool.

stevestojan
Well, Banta is 34. Today is his Birthday He has 13 yards receiving...in his 6 SEASON CAREER. That is on 2 receptions. He didn't play in 1999 or 2000, but came back apparently in 2001 for detroit. Hasnt played since then, but did play in every game that year. And holy mother of everything sacred, this is what he looks like: Really, before you click, yes, you HAVE been out drinking and seen a guy JUST like this: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/2732/ edit: add one fumble to his stats... meaning of the 2 catches he has had, he fumbled one of them. Wow.

Wow. 160390 Actually, strangely enough, his fumble occurred in a year where he had no catches (2001). Quite difficult to do nothing else but fumble in an entire year. Wow. Britbillsfan
He is/was a long snapper (see his tackle totals) so a fumble is possible without a catch. Dorenbos has been okay this year, has he not?

Wow. 160390 when I seen his last name, I just knew he must have been from around my area, he has the same last name as my niece and nephew's dad. Those stats are unimpressive, but then again, he's made it in the league 11 years with only 2 receptions, he must be a hell of a blocker!

Dorenbos has been okay this year, has he not? 160454 Dorenbos is currently leading the league in tackles made by long snappers. He has 8 tackles (5 solo) after last week. The next-closest long snapper has 4 tackles.

The next-closest long snapper has 4 tackles. 160478 I've got to correct myself. Dorenbos is in the lead with 8 tackles, but 6 of them are solo. However, the next-closest long snapper is Patrick Mannely of Chicago, with 6 tackles (5 solo). An interesting stat, over the last four seasons, the season leaders in tackles for long snappers are: 2000: 7 tackles (0 solo) 2001: 9 tackles (2 solo) 2002: 8 tackles (2 solo) 2003: 8 tackles (7 solo) Dorenbos is looking pretty good! He must have picked up a fumble, and then fumbled it himself?? Or possible he lined up under center for a play?
