Aside from the CBA negotiations maybe you should picture this..

I know and realize that the issue of a new Bills stadium ever getting built has been debated and talked about numerous times and I also know that it may not happen in the near future or even ever for that matter...but think about this for a second...A new stadium from some unknown funding would need to happen but say it does and what if it was decided to be built in Niagara Falls, US overlooking the beautiful Falls sitting right near the casino and hotels. That would be a spectacular site visually and would also make that area more attractive for tourists. Not only is it only like 15 mins from Buffalo but it would be so close to the Canadian border that that would make it even more likely to attract more fans from the north, basically being so close, that we could essentially be canada's team. The toronto series seems to be not going as planned for that city, because it seems to be very neutral, but what it is doing is expanding our fanbase north and that may be the only way to keep our beloved team here in WNY. Regionalizing. I know a downtown stadium is also talked about near the water front but what would be better...being downtown close to nothing but empty warehouses or next to the Falls with a casino and hotels nextdoor? That would probably also be better for attracting FAs as well. But let me know your thoughts if this would be a good spot

I think Niagara Falls would be a beautiful location but a logistical nightmare as far as traffic is concerned.. Given the financial shape of Erie County, I really don't see a new stadium ever being built..

Maybe the stadium could be inter-twined with a new hydro-electric plant that not only powers the stadium, but creates an additional for of revenue? You may be able to get some federal grants to go green too! Lets make it shovel ready!!! <_<

Honestly its not a bad idea and I have heard it tossed around before. I always kinda assumed that the next stadium would be built in Lancaster near that race track. It would be close to the Thruway and cut about a half hour off the commute for Rochester fans – which I think would really bring a lot more fans from the East. Add in the bonus of no traffic getting home and I think a lot more people would go to games (an hour and a half drive home after a solid hour in traffic sucks for Rochester fans) It would still be roughly the same drive for the Canadian crowd I believe. That also the cheapest land/development site and maybe the only space large enough for the stadium and parking. They could maybe put in some shops like that patsies or GB did.

Just thinking out loud.

If they ever do build a new stadium it will eithe be in NF or downtown. There is no way the city, county, state would allow a stadium to be built in no mans land in Lancaster. Everybody now days know it's all about the dollar and building up the sorroundings. It would most likely be downtown in the waterfront.

Personally, I'm a fan of NF. It's close to the same distance from Buffalo (or most people from the burbs) as OP, closer to Canada, and makes no difference to Rochester.

Let's just hope there isn't a year lockout, so that LA can build a stadium in that time, get the go ahead for a team in negotiations of the CBA and then have Ralph pass. We could be really boned. Just my .02
