Munch Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/03/10/mike-mccarthy-confirms-nick-barnett-is-no-longer-a-starter/ Probably better than we have, if he becomes available...thoughts?
Ghost of Rob Johnson Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Depends on what it costs to get him.
Dr. Fong Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 On the small side and on the downside of his career. Probably better than anything we have, but no thanks.
packfntk Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I had talked about him in another thread. He is a good player, a natural leader, but he has a mouth. We like him here in GB but at the price it is going to cost to keep him we have to unload him one way or the other. Just too much for a 3rd ILB. He averages about 100 tackles a year and is excellent in pass coverage. He has speed and plays smart. He will be starting for some team come September, (Please God let there BE games in September) just matters where.

I'm sick of seeing poz chasing after players in coverage. He looks like he has cement in his shoes holding him down.

Johnny Hammersticks Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I'd give up a 4th round pick for him, and throw in John McCargo
3rdnlng Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I'd give up a 4th round pick for him, and throw in John McCargo Green Bay would probably rather take a 5th.
