The in-house engineers gotta get involved and the price is now 450k... The general contractor has a big temp office/trailer more than 2 times the building they are putting the HVAC system in. Nobody is ever there. The trailer even has its own telephone pole drop service! To see if there is lead in the paint (on pipes) cost 22K... They concluded there is none, below the limit. Actually, the heating system is staying with just a new boiler and parts. We coulda just bulldozed the whole freaking building and built new. The general contractor is making out like a bandit... So are the (*^*&%^$^#engineers. Quite a fiasco. It takes two to tango here and the gov't contractors are loving it! :doh:
