Chef Jim Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I think it's toque, you hoser. Yes that's correct. As in Chef's toque pronounced "toke." So Canadians don't even know how to spell it let alone pronounce it.
Gene Frenkle Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Yes that's correct. As in Chef's toque pronounced "toke." So Canadians don't even know how to spell it let alone pronounce it. Most of us Canadians aren't very bright.
Chef Jim Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Most of us Canadians aren't very bright. That was my point. I just didn't want to come right out and say it. Thanks.
Gene Frenkle Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 That was my point. I just didn't want to come right out and say it. Thanks. Sorry, as a Canadian, I'm a bit slow.
3rdnlng Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Take off, eh? Is that a question? Hoser.Am I a good Canadian now or do I need to buy a tuque? (My American spell-checker didn't even recognize that - did I spell it right?) Marauder is from Indiana?
Bronc24 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Sorry, as a Canadian, I'm a bit slow. If you were Canadian, you'd be considered as such.
3rdnlng Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 If you were Canadian, you'd be considered as such. A slow Canadian? That's a double whammy if there ever was one.
Gene Frenkle Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 A slow Canadian? That's a double whammy if there ever was one. I believe the term is "functionally retarded".
ieatcrayonz Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 A slow Canadian? That's a double whammy if there ever was one. It is either redundant or unimaginable.
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 It is either redundant or unimaginable. Anything is imaginable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GogRZwFXoA
3rdnlng Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I believe the term is "functionally retarded". You can function?
Gene Frenkle Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 You can function? Barely, but in Canada that's pretty much the fat part of the bell curve.
Bronc24 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) Barely, but in Canada that's pretty much the fat part of the bell curve. On which you'd still land left of "functionally". Edited March 13, 2011 by Marauder24
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 (edited) Want to slash gov't waste?... Start with the military complex. Who said this?: ~"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed. those who are cold and not clothed." Yep... It is no other than that Republican icon and 5 star general Dwight D. Eisenhower. The same guy, who as prez, taxed the rich at a staggering rate compared to what people are whining about today. Edited March 14, 2011 by ExiledInIllinois

The same guy, who as prez, taxed the rich at a staggering rate compared to what people are whining about today. If you replace military complex with police services, isn't the heart-wrenching statement still true? Or the arts or education for that matter? Let's face it: every burger made could have been 50 day's of algea food for starving vegetarians. Shouldn't we start by outlawing the foods at the top of the pyramid?
