Bob in STL Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 (edited) Nice diversion from CBA, the draft and free agency? This man was great for more than just football. My link Edited March 5, 2011 by Bob in STL
Bob in STL Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 The GOP needs more people like Kemp and less of Palin, Bachmann, Gingrich, etc. PTR Both parties need more people like Kemp. The polarization between the parties has never been greater than it is now, at least in my lifetime. I cannot support either extreme.

With him it was about promoting the "ideas", not bringing down the person with the opposing view. What is paradoxical is that although he held very strong conservative and libertarian views he was in the forefront of the NFL union movement and he was also bravely involved in the civil rights of black players when it wasn't a popular thing to do.

Well said JohnC.
RevWarRifleman Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Good points and statements made by all on this post at this time. We could use some more Jack Kemp-types in the NFL, and in government. RWR
The Senator Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Kemp ran a very effective supply-side style of offense I miss the guy.
