The Senator Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Damn! Buddy, sleepin' again.... Our FO sucks! ( There...now no one else needs to say it )
BobDVA Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 And he would have been great playing in those couple games for us before he got hurt.
Travis Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 And he would have been great playing in those couple games for us before he got hurt. We'll never know though, will we?
Captain Hindsight Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 And he would have been great playing in those couple games for us before he got hurt. He got hurt for on the first defensive series of the first game last year But those three plays for the 2.5 million would be well spent. At least a tackle
Bill from NYC Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Damn! Buddy, sleepin' again.... Our FO sucks! ( There...now no one else needs to say it ) I am not going to blast Buddy for not signing him, but I would have liked it if they did.
JohnC Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I am not going to blast Buddy for not signing him, but I would have liked it if they did. If Whitner is retained I'm sure you will be loading up the artillary and aiming at the good ol boy GM!!!!
Doc Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Not worth the risk. The guy is on the wrong side of 30 and hasn't been able to stay healthy for a whole season in his NFL career.
Turbosrrgood Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 (edited) Overrated anyway. Don't forget, the guy played in a cover 2 defense with a tremendous pass rush. Buffalo's defense could not be any more different. We are already a tiny 3-4 defense, we don't need an injury prone 5-8 guy that hasn't really played in 3 years. Thank you chargers. Start Scott, he is better than Whitner anyway. Edited March 4, 2011 by Turbosrrgood

Gabe Northern Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Just saw it on the ESPN bottom line. Welcome to the starting line-up, George Wilson. It's official.
LABills08 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 If he signed a one year deal and there is no football next season, what happens? By the way, I'm not opposed to this. Chargers probably gave him a bunch of money upfront, the Bills are in no position to do that. If they were close to the playoffs, I could see it differently. But they aren't. Taking a risk on Sanders is silly when you have internal/cheaper options. This does, however, solidify my belief that the Bills could take a safety in the 2nd or 3rd.
Bob in STL Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Not worth the risk. The guy is on the wrong side of 30 and hasn't been able to stay healthy for a whole season in his NFL career. I tend to agree. I would like to get Whitner back as a reasonable price.
K-9 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Gotta think SD felt very good after those visits to Buffalo and New York. GO BILLS!!!
