Buffalo Barbarian Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 AdamSchefter Here's a shocker: Packers cut LB A.J. Hawk today. What!? He is not the greatest but he's definitely better than Poz and anyone else we have.
swede316 Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 He's cut...I say put a waiver claim in on him...Only the Panther's and Bronco's have a better shot than us.
boyst Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Doesn't any one read posts???? He resigned already with the Packers. Happened just before midnight.
mikef272002 Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Agreed! However, you left the great Keslay off of that list You didn't hear...? Kelsey has been playing so well that he was promoted to Linebackers coach..
Ghost of Rob Johnson Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 He's cut...I say put a waiver claim in on him...Only the Panther's and Bronco's have a better shot than us. He's not on waivers. Doesn't any one read posts???? He resigned already with the Packers. Happened just before midnight. Do you have a link for this? Cause I can't find anything saying that.
Beerball Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Do you have a link for this? Cause I can't find anything saying that. according to this they are close to a new deal
packfntk Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 He signed a deal. Ted Thompson and his agent had the majority of it worked out prior to cutting him. Ted was just being safe so he couldn't get stuck with the $10.5 million. Great move. AJ was never leaving, he has stated that he would take a pay cut to stay in GB.
billsfreak Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 AdamSchefter Here's a shocker: Packers cut LB A.J. Hawk today. Actually it isn't even a little it of a shocker, they were talking about that the entire post season. He was due to make something like $10 million this year, so it was a no brainer. Would be a nice pickup for us, he is decent, he just hasn't played up to the level of the player that someone drafted where he was should have played. That said, this past season was probably his best in the NFL, so it would be a good pickup for a team that needs so much help on defense like the Bills do.
BuffaloFan68 Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Wow, how great would it be to have Merriman, Poz & Hawk all out there together!
aristocrat Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 funny to see how the people who didn't want us to sign him react to the sb champs signing him longterm

I like when players are willing to take less money to play with a winning team (or a place they want to play period). Drats, would have loved to have him on the Bills. But good for GB and AJ.
scotty0424 Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Sign him. And Poz. And put them together in the middle. Put Merriman on one side and draft Von Miller for the other. Pretty nice linebacking corps.
