/dev/null Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Other cities have already jumped on the light rail train Hampton Roads Transit vowed Thursday to complete construction of Norfolk's beleaguered light-rail project for $338.3 million, slightly less than anticipated but still 46 percent more than original estimates. Our light rail has a cool name, The Tide. I know that because that's what is painted on the side of the dormant rail cars...that I drive past on my way to work every day. Those stationary rail cars are becoming part of Downtown Norfolk's landscape, just like The Downtown Tunnel, Berkely Bridge, and Harbor Park.
Nanker Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Can the restoration of the Rochester-to-Toronto ferry service be next? Maybe they'll rebuild the subway too.
