Rockinon Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Must be the combine news slowed 'em down. Give it time.
FluffHead Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Who is Harris? Jets cut woody, Kris Jenkins, Jason Taylor and Vernon gholston
Captain Hindsight Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Thought by now there would be a dozen posted. Who is Harris?
Ghost of Rob Johnson Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 (edited) I'm guessing Tommie Harris  http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-0301-haugh-bears-harris--20110228,0,1033420.column  Pass on both, Harris doesnt fit the Bills scheme, and Woody is old. THE GUY YELLING BEHIND YOU Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Gee...4 years to cut Vernon Gholston. Maybe we can cut Maybin in 3.
hooper Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=6168598 The jets are cutting some players of interest, Bills interested?
Captain Hindsight Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Gee...4 years to cut Vernon Gholston. Maybe we can cut Maybin in 3. Ill let you know how long it took once we cut him
Simon Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I'm guessing Tommie Harris  http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-0301-haugh-bears-harris--20110228,0,1033420.column  Pass on both, Harris doesnt fit the Bills scheme, and Woody is old. Woody is 33, which is not exceptionally old for a RT. And he's averaged over 14 starts a year through his entire career, so he's not injury prone. The Bills might have 1 NFL caliber Tackle on their roster. Woody would be a reasonably priced, experienced and reliable vet who could be an excellent transition player while the Bills add some younger talent at the OT position. The fact that he knows the Jets playbook doesn't hurt either. Go get some, Buddy.

If only Bell's last name was Ball.
truth on hold Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 We should take a flyer on either Jenkins or Shaun Rogers. Â I love the idea of rotating them with Troupe at NT. Then we can move Williams to his more natural position of LDE, backed up by Kelsay. Â At RDE we rotate Edwards and Carrington. Â If we get decent production out of Jenkins or Rogers, that's a capable DLine, and we don't have to waste any draft picks on the over blown prospects like Fairley. Â Then we can draft for the what should be the true strength a 3-4 scheme: linebackers.

Stl Bills Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Jenkins and Woody would be worth a look IMO although Jenkins is always hurt.
MyHorseAteTheKid Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 They both intrigue me.. Woody can play as a starter or back up.. Jenkins, if healthy could be roatated in, save wear and tear on that huge body.. I'm certain the Bills won't bring either of them in, but they will be playing somewhere if/when the season starts..
