The Patriots are expected to soon cut RT Nick Kaczur, who missed the '10 season with a back injury. According to the Boston Herald, team officials approached Kaczur about a big paycut from his $3.4 million salary due in '11. Kaczur, who turns 32 in July, rejected the offer. Patriots officials can take a hard-line stance because OT Sebastian Vollmer, in his second NFL season, performed well in his Kaczur's absence. Kaczur could play inside at guard, but the Patriots are set there, too, with All-Pro Logan Mankins and Dan Connolly.
