BeastMode54 Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 per rotoworld Alabama DL Marcell Dareus measured 6-foot-3 and 319 pounds at the Scouting Combine weigh-in Saturday. Dareus has 33 3/8-inch arms. He's the same height as top defensive tackle competitor Nick Fairley, but 28 pounds heavier. Essentially, they're completely different players. Dareus projects as the superior run defender, and could now be viewed with more versatility as a potential nose tackle. could he still play end?
Bangarang Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 He could still probably play end. He has the versatility to play anywhere on the line. Got to like that about him.
bills_red Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 43 NT, yes. 34 NT, no. He is a DE in the 34.
High Mark Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Fairley at 6'5'' and 20 lbs lighter makes him a good bit skinnier. But watching them play, I would say Fairley plays biiger/stronger and Dareus plays smaller/quicker. I really dont think we have to worry about either of those two.
Green Lightning Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I'm a Dareus fan. He is stout on the run and amazingly fast and quick for a guy that size. He's versatile and can move inside on stunts and has speed rush and bull rush moves. Love to see him in a Bills uni.
