BLZFAN4LIFE Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 The mouth that roared. “I know we’re an excellent football team. We’ve got a great organization. I know the kind of players we have. I know the players we’re going to have represent us. … The reason I think we’re going to win is because we’re going to lock arms — players, coaches, fans — and when we do we’re going to find a way.” There you have it. I guess there's always the year after next year...
Zulu Cthulhu Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Ho hum... That's Rex's M.O. and it isn't going to change as long as he is a head coach. Players around the league seem to dig his bluster though...he's still ranked as the coach they'd most want to play for.
/dev/null Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I'm surprised he took time away from his offseason of playing This Little Piggy
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 I'm surprised he took time away from his offseason of playing This Little Piggy Well, until he backs up the bluster, you could say he's just putting his foot in his mouth again.
Mike in Syracuse Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 He might want to focus on actually getting to the Super Bowl first!
VirginiaMike Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 What a pompous windbag. As they say in the movies: "Pretty bold talk for a one-eyed fat man" I hope the Bills kick some Jet behind this coming year (I also hope there is a this year) Pompous Rex
All_Pro_Bills Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 What a pompous windbag. As they say in the movies: "Pretty bold talk for a one-eyed fat man" I hope the Bills kick some Jet behind this coming year (I also hope there is a this year) Pompous Rex His routine is getting old real fast. I've got Rex on 'ignore'.....
filthymcnasty08 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Let's be real here....you would take a bullet for that guy if he was the Bills coach.
BuffaloWings Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Let's be real here....you would take a bullet for that guy if he was the Bills coach. I wouldn't if he kept shooting his mouth off like he does. I haven't looked, but I'll bet Jets fans are starting to think this is enough. I'm sure they want results, too.
FightClub Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I wouldn't if he kept shooting his mouth off like he does. I haven't looked, but I'll bet Jets fans are starting to think this is enough. I'm sure they want results, too. I'm looking forward to a few years from now, when Rex gets canned and someone puts up a montage on YouTube of all his guarantees that never came true. Jets run is over, it's all downhill from here.
eball Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 "Our fans want a Super Bowl," he said. "I feel it. I sense it. There's no doubt about it." Rex, are you sure? The guy is entertaining and good for the league. That said, I hope the Jets crash and burn, because it will be hilarious.
MyHorseAteTheKid Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 This isn't the first time Rex put a foot in his mouth!
metzelaars_lives Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 "Talky, talky, talky. No more talky." -William Madison
AReed Deep For 7 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 "Talky, talky, talky. No more talky." -William Madison "William" hahahaha, that almost threw me off enough to not get it
FLFan Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Let's be real here....you would take a bullet for that guy if he was the Bills coach. Uh, no. He would still be a fat, foot-licking blowhard. I guess the NFL and NFLPA can rest easy now. No need for the 2011 season - it is already decided. They can take their time on a new agreement.
l< j Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 The guy is entertaining and good for the league. That said, I hope the Jets crash and burn, because it will be hilarious. And if (hopefully when) they crash and burn, that will also be entertaining and good for the league. Just like pro wrestling, fans and the media will eat up a morality play. kj
BuffaloWings Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 They may very well win the Superbowl - I won't deny that they have the talent to do it. I'm just in the boat that if they don't, it'll likely be because they don't have the best overall team.
Thunderstealer Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Rex Ryan is the next Jerry Glannville.
Mr. WEO Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 (edited) I wouldn't if he kept shooting his mouth off like he does. I haven't looked, but I'll bet Jets fans are starting to think this is enough. I'm sure they want results, too. Really? I bet the long suffering Jets fans (of all people) are pretty happy about their fortunes the past 2 years. This is the coach who took a mediocre (or underperforming, take your pick) team with a "terrible" "overrated" QB who "sucks" to the AFCC game two years in a row. Who was the last HC to do that? Anyway, some people are so used to mediocrity and low performance that they don't recognize or appreciate achievement. That Ryan is a blowhard makes it easier for such individuals to be comfortable mocking actual success. Edited February 25, 2011 by Mr. WEO
timba Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Well, until he backs up the bluster, you could say he's just putting his foot in his mouth again. HA!
