Beerball
link Despite Kellerman’s efforts to stop Wiley from his bravado, Marcellus reiterated that he could beat Toney in the cage. Marcellus is known for running his mouth, and I think he’s running into a bad situation here. What do you think, want to see Marcellus step into the cage? KD in CA
Nothing better than a verbal dick swinging contest between two has-been athletes. MMA = the sporting world equivalent of 'Jersey Shore'. At least pro wrestling occasionally produced entertaining theater.

MMA is awesome. MMA > Boxing. That is all. link What do you think, want to see Marcellus step into the cage? Well Marcellus is about as much of an MMA fighter as Tony is. Tony proved that against Couture. As washed up as Tony is, he'd still knock out Marcellus.

Stl Bills
Wiley's 7 inches taller than Toney So were about half the guys he fought as a Heavyweight in boxing. James Toney is way passed his prime but lets not sell the guy short, he would knock Marcellus out in about a minute (especially with 4 oz MMA gloves). As a boxer he compiled a record of 72-6 and fought guys like Roy Jones Jr., Holyfield, and Hasim Rahman. I don't think he'd be worried about fighting Marcellus. Toney doesn't have devastating heavyweight punching power. His best asset is his ability to roll his shoulders and avoid straight punches. That's not as helpful when someone throws you on the ground and starts pumping your face with his fist. As to whether Marcellus Wiley knows how to fight ??? that's the real question. He was def at his best when he was a middleweight. That being said it would be interesting to see how much power he would have with 4oz gloves on. I was hoping to get to see that when he fought Randy Couture but he never even got a chance to swing on him.

section122
I'd rather watch a boxing match than a Ufc match in which they are on the mat the whole time rolling around. So boring A boxing match can be just as boring if they dance and clutch the whole time. I love both and would recomend checking out anderson silvas last fight against vitor belfort. One of the sickest ko's I've ever seen! The knockouts in mma are imo more impressive and more fun to watch... I'm sure a youtube search would bring up some great ones! 808
saying i dont like MMA cause its boring when they hit the mat is such a cop out. what your really saying is i dont understand something so i dont like it and dont wanna try to learn about it. and thats perfectly fine. different strokes for different folks
boyst
MMA is one step above gay porn. It is sport to those that are actually involved in it. It is a joke to all of those tools who think they're MMA, wear the clothing nonstop, the 2 guys from TapOut (who are arse clowns), and most of all, a joke to who enjoy real sports. Stealth
I just can't get into the mma craze. Yeah I enjoy watching the knockouts, and I appreciate the "athleticism and technique" and all that goes along with it. Just not my thing. I'd rather watch a good boxing match over a mma fight anyday. For the most part though Boxing doesn't have "it" anymore either.

Ok first off your entitled to whatever opinion you like but I have to say that is one hell of a sterotype. I like MMA a lot and don't own any tap-out or affliction t-shirts. Some of us just respect it and enjoy it for what it is. I'm a big boxing fan also but I get turned off by all the politics. There is potential for one of the greatest boxing matches in history with Pacquiao/Mayweather and the promters/fighters can't figure out a way to make it work. Its been like that for 30 years now. 808
the amount of techniques that goes into MMA is insane. kickboxing, boxing, wrestling, jiujitsu, judo and others. just cause your pea brain cant comprehend whats happening does not mean its gay porn. MMA is also still very much in its infancy when it comes to being a main stream sport.
boyst
... I have to say that is one hell of a sterotype. You are right, and I truly cannot help it. Something about MMA just drives me nuts. I do not think it is the sport. I do not think it is what it represents. I think it is the image. I do not know. I just get douche chills when I think of MMA and cannot help it. the amount of techniques that goes into MMA is insane. kickboxing, boxing, wrestling, jiujitsu, judo and others. just cause your pea brain cant comprehend whats happening does not mean its gay porn. MMA is also still very much in its infancy when it comes to being a main stream sport. I think that is a funny response. MMA is about 20 years old now. It use to just be known as tough man competitions, amongst other names. Also, my pea brain was a standout wrestler. I understand technique, I see what is going on, I see it very well. I see it so much that I see it as too much of a chance then a sport I can cheer. You cannot counter a kick to the head then you have blood in your eyes and are falling over in to a chain fence. The backbone of MMA is wrestling, I get that, and I still do not care.
