KD in CA Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 My parents are dead now, but they were most like the parents from "Everybody Loves Raymond" They continuously made shallow, unfunny jokes at each others' expense?
Bills99999 Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 They continuously made shallow, unfunny jokes at each others' expense? Yes Is there a problem with that?
Guffalo Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Probably Cam and Michael from Modern Family
Chef Jim Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 The Adams family. Addams Family. Sorry but it's one of my favorite TV shows And to answer the question I don't think there is one by my in-laws? No doubt...the Flintstones.
boyst Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 For my family, clearly between the Simpsons and Married With Children. It is amazing how nasty we can be to each other. There are a lot of things I have learned in life, sadly, from my family I have not learned as much as I wish I could have; my grandpa, on the other hand, he taught me EVERYTHING. For him, before he went downhill with dementia and whatnot, he was like Andy Griffith meets Jed Clampett with the humor of Curly from the 3 Stooges. When he started losing it he became Quagmire meets Hugh Hefners TV personality, meets a "very hardheaded stubborn character?". He went to a local restaurant took out a porno magazine and started looking at it, and saw nothing wrong with it. One time a cow was down. My grandpa loaded her up on the trailer and took her to the landfill, it used to be free to take them since it is illegal to bury them. The cow had been shot but was not fully dead. The guy who runs the landfill, who knew my grandpa, had to come out and explain that they could not bury a live animal and it has to be dead. My grandpa argued it'd eventually die to no success. He drove to the foot of the hill and around , about 200 yards maybe, and "BANG," "BANG," "BANG." He turned around and drove back up, the cow was dead. The landfill supervisor informed him that it was a felony in the state of North Carolina to use a firearm on county property. Of course, nothing happened, but that is just a great example of the stuff he did. We have thousands of stories about him that are so fun to tell, from sitting outside for an hour with his shotgun raised because "that one damn blackbird keeps coming and taking my pecans," to driving his tractor to town 2 or 3 times a day when he lost his license.
UConn James Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I'd have to say... the Bunkers. "Arrrchhiiiiieee!!!"
Beerball Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Addams Family. Sorry but it's one of my favorite TV shows And to answer the question I don't think there is one by my in-laws? No doubt...the Flintstones. Your MiL is a hottie and your FiL is an ignorant putz?
Beerball Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 The Wonder Years. I probably shouldn't tell you this, but, I wanted to sleep with your mom.
Peace Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 George and Lucille Bluth For canceling that show, I hope Rupert Murdoch someday needs to beg for a loan from George Soros.
HopsGuy Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) For canceling that show, I hope Rupert Murdoch someday needs to beg for a loan from George Soros. My favorite protest sign: Link Oh - and like BuffOrange, Jack and Norma Arnold. Edited February 23, 2011 by HopsGuy
