Pete Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 The more I read about this story, the crazier it gets. It is destroying US/Pakistan relations, to the point we just might cut off all financial aid to Pakistan if they don't release Davis. John Kerry is making trips, and we are using any bargaining chip we can trying to designate Davis a diplomat with immunity. I find this story fascinating. Thoughts?
UConn James Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 That old phrase, "Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6" is apparently going to be put to the test.
Pete Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 That old phrase, "Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6" is apparently going to be put to the test. That is true. But reports are he shot the two Pakastani's in the back(neither had bullets in their guns), and then proceeded to take pictures of the dead bodies laying in the street. Then he calls in for extraction. And the truck rushing to Allen's aid strikes and kills a motorcyclist. And Allen had a telescope, a glock, maps, pictures of sensitive data, gps, and some other interesting items. Supposedly he is part of task force 373, and conjecture is TF 373 is an assassin squad. And there is more to the story then that

Pete Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 Interesting. Link? I just googled it and explored every page I could. NPR has been mentinoning this case too. Another thing- the wife of one of the killed swallowed rat poison, died slowly, and applealed from her death bed for justice. She is now dead

Nanker Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Is that why they call it a death bed? No. That's why they call it RAT poison.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Sounds like he should be left to twist. He couldn't have been too good a spy to kill so blatantly, anyway.

And the administration's trying to argue "diplomatic immunity"? Tough ****...you face the consequences of your actions in the country where you acted. Good luck with your trial and execution. Makes the uproar over caning in Singapore 15 years back look ridiculous in comparison...
