So, seems like the Fins not so happy with ole Richie. For all the grief this board gave Buddy over letting him go, maybe he is smarter than some give him credit?

Richie Incognito/C-G – The veteran interior offensive lineman started all 16 regular-season games last season, but because he did not play at a high level, he’s not expected to be re-signed by the team.

Miami resigned him for 3 years, I guess Buudy didn't know anything afterall?

Profootballfocus.com didn't seem to impresed with him, ranking him 9th among FA interior OL:

"For once, Richie lived up his name and stayed incognito for most of the year, eliminating the disciplinary issues that had plagued his career. On the field he seemed to lose a bit of that aggressiveness that made him a pretty nasty run blocker, the result being an up-and-down season."

Our offensive line was pathetic. We could have kept Incognito, signed F. Adams, traded for others, or drafted to take care of busines. We didn't. I'm not saying Incognito or Adams were pro-bowl caliber, but they would have been a valuable addition to the team and pretty much a no-brainer. We finished with a worse record than we had the year before and no remedy for our offensive line woes going into the future. The jury may be out...but deliberations are coming to a head and I'm not sure Nix and Chan are going to like the verdict.

here here, well said

Considering they went into last years draft with the O line as a "priority" and came away with 5th and 7th, the 7th was cut in pre season and the 5th never started on a team that was desperate for stability at RT.

Fitz helped make that line look better then it was by his quick release and quick decisions, but that didn't help him at all against teams like the Jets where he was running for his life the entire game, and he was the leading rusher in that game.

The Bills can't run block at all, no TE, no RT and a LT that fades as the competition gets better. If they move Wood to center then they will need two tackles-guard-TE.

Should Fitz get hurt with a severe injury this year ( he has missed games the last 2 years because of injuries)...the Bills will be vying for that 1st overall next year. This franchise will continue along its path of constant losing seasons that it has for the last decade until they build a proper O line....you would think that they would at least try and copy the Jets-Ravens who have both beaten the Patriots in NE.

the Cornell Green reach was understandable at the time

Sure, dude.

Just like the Tutan Reyes and Bennie Andersen signings, right?

Yeah, those guys were pretty good too until they all of a sudden hit the wall.

Either that or they sucked and everyone else knew it but our pro personnel staff.

I'll take the backups the Bills signed (Rinehart, Wrotto, even Pears) over those guys.

Incognito's shown everything he's ever going to and can only get worse, not better. The Bills young OL aren't Pro Bowl players either, but appear to have some upside and can hold the fort until better reinforcements arrive.

That's where I disagree. Johnathan Scott isn't serviceable, he's below average. If Cornell Green is a D player then Johnathan Scott is a D+. If the Bills had gone into 2010 as Scott as their starting RT fans would have been killing Nix for it.

of course the fans would have been killilng Buddy for not fixing the OL

but why is that the fans are the only ones that realize the OL needs to be fixed?

here's a thought - why not keep Scott, since he was cheap and actually aggressively draft a RT that can reasonable be expected to start -
