DC Tom Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 You'd be surprised what I have. I have 1224 songs and there are still a ton more I'm sure I'm missing. This is fun...find the songs Doc doesn't have from the 80s... Any A Flock of Seagulls? Culture Club - Karma Chameleon The Fixx - One Thing Leads To Another Boston - Amanda The Bangles - Walk Like An Egyptian Bananarama - Venus The Firm - Radioactive And I just know you've got to have some Def Leppard already.

Jim in Anchorage Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Got all of it except "Radioactive," which I tried looking for before and couldn't find. Best song on this thread. I saw them at a general admission show in Rochester, was literally leaning on the stage. Could'a grabed Page by the ankle.

ajzepp Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 youtube.com/watch?v=0-MONIvP6kI LOL, that was one of the first cassettes I ever owned...I liked the Frogger song the best..."go froggy, GO!!!!"
DC Tom Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Okay...keeping to the strict definition of '80s (which leaves out Eric Johnson's "Cliffs of Dover" and anything off Jeff Healy's Hell To Pay album, which is a cryin' shame): Heart - "These Dreams", "How Can I Refuse", and "Alone" Tesla - "Love Song" Suzanne Vega - "Luka" Stevie Nicks - "Edge of Seventeen" Don Henly - "Sunset Grill" Weird Al Yanckovic - "I Love Rocky Road" Steve Winwood - "Higher Love" Robert Plant - "In The Mood" and "Tall Cool One" Joe Satriani - "The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing" Steve Miller Band - "Abracadabra" Sammy Hagar - "Fall In Love Again" and "I Can't Drive 55" Queen - "Another One Bites The Dust" Van Halen - "And The Cradle Will Rock" Georgia Satellites - "Battleship Chains" Lionel Ritchie - "Say You, Say Me" (and hell, Deathtongue - "Let's Run Over Lionel Ritchie With A Tank") Katrina and the Waves - "Walking on Sunshine" Eurythmics - "Would I Lie To You" Fleetwood Mac - "Hold Me" and "Gypsy" Jump 'N The Saddle Band - "Curly Shuffle" Rick Springfield - "I've Done Everything for You" The Outfield - "Your Love" Murray Head - "One Night In Bangkok" Falco - "Rock Me Amadeus" Nene - "99 Luftballons" Kenny Loggins - "Danger Zone" and "Footloose" The '85 Bears - "Superbowl Shuffle"
Doc Posted February 21, 2011 Author Posted February 21, 2011 Great stuff, guys. I do have "Hi Infidelity," Levi, but my favorite REO song is "Golden Country." And good job with "Tired of Toein' The Line" jboy, and same for you DC, with "Battleship Chains." I've been trying to get that but can't find it anywhere.

Tired of Toe'n the line is prob one of the most fantastic examples of 80's music videos... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPBwbdRuKPc
OGTEleven Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Icehouse - Electric Blue I always liked Icehouse but thought their best was We Can Get Together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzRCYjlIVYw Another forgotten song I think exemplifies the 80s is Wouldn't It Be Good. Over video limit I wouldn't call it 80s music exactly, a lost Dire Straits gem is Tunnel of Love.
