bbb Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Here is an excellent article about this and the misteps and direction of Nascar since. This was on the front page of the Washington Post today: Liz Clarke's article
NoSaint Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Again, Sr died blocking for Jr. That was his game and he died for it. To bad, but he knew exactly what he was doing. I get it - just must have been crazy for all the people around the incident. He knew what he was doing but for his teammate who won, son he was protecting, and longtime friends involved in the actual crash- man..... Like I was saying, whereas Kevin Everett was a bills teammate for a couple years, and never really had ties to the opposing team or player that hit him- these guys were together for the vast majority of there lifetimes, and will continue to be. It's got to be hard for some of them seeing jr around the track since he was a baby and having this happen like it did- especially the guys involved in the accident, guys that had known sr for decades, spending 3/4 of the year on the road together for 10, 20+ years.
