Beerball Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Might we see this from other aging NFL vets (who can't afford to miss any time), or was Green washed up? link

Zulu Cthulhu Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 In green's case? Washed up. But others? There may be something to that. Saw something today about UFL already having some money troubles, so that destination may be unavailable to free agent vets trying to stay sharp. Sorry can't find the link to that right now.

I think this link might be what you're looking for. It isn't mentioned in the story, but the TV deal expired after the season & I doubt they'll get another one as good as the 1st. http://hamptonroads.com/2011/02/ufl-nearly-ended-its-money-misery
Zulu Cthulhu Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Not the exact thing i read earlier Albany, but that's the gist of it. Thanks for linking.
KD in CA Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Ahman Green was a great back, but he was washed up 5 years ago.
packfntk Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Yeah, he was really washed up when he came back to us in 2009. He was a fan favorite, great family oriented soft spoken guy, but his time is past him. I wish him the best.
